I think God has a 0% interference policy. He wants us all to experience every possible emotion. This is why God doesn't just strike down bad people, or why sometimes people die, even if they are good people who don't deserve it. I think God doesn't interfere. I think most of all though, God wants us to enrich his faith. If he came down to us all and said "I am God, your leader and your maker and superior being to all", then people couldn't go around saying "There is no God", because we'd have tangible proof. By hiding himself from us, he allows us to develop faith and only through faith do we believe in God. Faith is believing in something even if it can't be touched or felt or heard or seen.
Second, there would have to be a God. Think about how everything in nature works...our own human bodies which have billions of celluar processes going on right now as we speak. If one process fails, we die! But yet, our bodies keep going for years. God is the only thing that's perfect enough to create such perfect life.

You misunderstand the true nature of "religious fanatics" who kill others; you also misunderstand God's nature. In the early generations after His chosen people moved into the Promised Land (Israel, as it's now called), God instructed His people to kill pagan Gentile nations. This ensured His people would be able to keep themselves separate while He taught them how to live in faith.
Following the establishment of His people and their decline into paganism, God used attacks from Gentile nations as a way of disciplining His people. I assure you, God received no pleasure at seeing His people die in this way. In fact, a careful reading of scripture shows He was quite distrought.
Back to religious fanatics, it can be easily demonstrated that anyone who murders in the name of God is not a true believer. Today, the world is nearly choked with hypocritical pseudo-Christians. While they may refer to themselves as Christians, they lack the one true outward proof of their saved state: LOVE.
So, why didn't God just simply MAKE His people love others and do what He wants? Remember, God created man and woman with free will. It's really as simple as that. Put into human terms: would you rather have a mate who was with you because he or she had no choice, or a mate who was with you because he or she truly, in their heart, WANTED to be there? Why wouldn't God think the same way?
By the way, there are many examples in the Old Testament (and innumerable examples in the New Testament "Revelation of Jesus Christ") of God striking people dead due to iniquity. Many people believe God still does this today. I cannot answer conclusively whether He does or doesn't. All I know is this: God is in control and, if He chooses this method of punishment, it is certainly well deserved!
It seems you believe God is "insane" because you do not understand His way of thinking. Like many, perhaps you look at the evil in this world and think, "why didn't God step in and stop it!" Good question. Here's the answer:
Through one man (Adam) sin entered the world. At the same time, Lucifer was cast out of his permanent place in Heaven (although he is still able to enter it to speak with God -- but that's a different topic). Because Lucifer wanted to be God, the real God made Satan "Prince of the Powers of the Air" and "Prince of this world." Instantly, the world and everything/everyone in it turned evil. Because God is infinately holy, He cannot tolerate sin. The fact that evil things happen is a reflection of the fact that Lucifer has a certain amount of control over the earth (but not greater than God's) The only way to reconcile humans back to God is by means of a Savior. This is what Jesus Christ does (His name in Hebrew, Yeshua, means Salvation); belief in Him justifies and sanctifies believers so they may be called the Sons and Daughters of God.
I urge you to look into these things. Where you end up after you die depends upon it.

When he wiped us out in the great flood, he did it via a barbaric means of drowning and suffocation. What elite kind of god would need to use such horrific means to kill? Some Savior!

You make many assumptions, but I will try to address your questions:
1) to experience creating it again
2) to watch
3) no
4) probably, yes
5) no, not an insane god, just an insane interpretation of what God is and what God wants.
6) that is exactly what he is currently doing, through man
7) there is no such thing as "person of supreme power" or anything similar. No such thing as "corporeal immortal being of immense influence, who is omnipresent, omnipotent and/or omniscient.", or "heavenly father, who judgeth, and condemn thee sinner, and reward thou follower."

I would never kill anyone unless it was in self defense. And anyone who says that their "God" told them to kill, is either crazy and hearing voices or is like the terrorists from 9-11 who think that killing is justified if it's in the name of God.

I dont think god wants his people to die, our choices in life lead to our demise. Why would he want to create us only to see us suffer and die? Satan is a real force and people dont belive that, but hes there waiting just to screw with our lives.

Humans invent Gods in their own images.
And the Gods they create seem to always allow that a person can kill anyone with whom he disagrees.
Their usual excuse for slaughtering people is that they are doing God's work for him to demonstrate their faith in him and how much they love him. In other words, he is too weak to do his own work, and he requires people to murder other people as a token of their love.
The evidence to support that statement can be found in the current media and throughout history of religions.
George Bush claimed God told him to invade Iraq and millions of Christians voted for and support him. Obviously, they believe their God told the US to invade Iraq and slaughter tens of thousands of Iraqis.

Gee, wouldn't that first answer make you think you're right. Who knows how people get it in their head that God wants them to kill for him. That somehow it's holy. People screw lots of things up; why wouldn't they screw up what they believe to be God's will too?
