My relationship with my mom is great. She raised me since I was 8 by herself and we are good friends now that I'm an adult.

My dad is a different story. He abandoned us when I was young and I was very angry. In my late teens he attempted to get involved in my life again. I rejected him and told him to go away. I was still hurt and angry. Less then a year after that encounter he was in a very serious accident that left him extremely mentally retarded. I regret my actions with him now. Today he doesn't realize he has a daughter. He's still struggling with the concept of a spoon, much less family. I'm still not as involved with him as I need to be, but I'll never recover my relationship with him. And I'm sorry for that.

me and my parents didn't have a good relationship my dad was an alcoholic and my mom never showed me a mother figure i was taken in and out of my house in my younger teen years (i am only 17) because i was being mentally and physically abused not by my mom as much but leaned more toward my dad we all said thing to each other that sometimes we regret one time about a year ago i looked at my mom in the court room and stood up and told her that i hated her with a pink and purple passion i told her i would never forgive her for this i told her i didn't love her anymore and still to this day i stand behind some things i said to her i don't forgive her and i still don't love her that much while i was in a group home my niece was born and i missed that then i finally got to go live awith my parents again and a couple days later my neice passed away i don't forgive no one for not letting me be there with her but it was god's doing things blew up again and i was placed in the home with my aunt and after a couple months my dad started openign up his eyes and started to be more of a father figure to me even though i will never live with him again we now have a good relationship now me and my mom really don't have a mother daughter relationship anymore and i don't think we ever will yes i regret some of the things that i said to both parents but as my dad once told me we were all mad at each other and sometimes we say and do things we don't really mean but i don't think none of us will ever be as close to each other as a real family should be but everyhting takes work and adventually maybe things will take another huge step to improve me and my mom

I adore my dad, I think he is by far the greatest man on the face of the earth, well second only to my husband. However, my mother and I do not have a very warm relationship. I try to always be respectful - NO MATTER WHAT!

I love my parents. I admit that sometimes I am disrespectful. sometimes I get rly rly mad at them about some things but I know they know what is best for me and that a lot of times I don't. I hate to admit that but I know it is true. There are somethings that I wish I could take back but I don't want to talk about those things. I hope u understand.

I'm respectful and nice to them but they treat me like crap. My favorite saying is "anyone can be a biological parent, but only some people can be a Mother/Father"
