Amazing how church ignores so much of Romans. And Galations.

Paul new the law was for one reason only - to prove that we could not follow it to be right with God. That it created animosity and seperation in our hearts and minds.

Church will not teach you that. The apostles have been mixing law and grace since day one. They didn't get it? Or they ignored the truth? Paul and the apostles did not agree!

When the law was fulfilled, it became of no afffect in God's eyes. All are under grace and mercy. ALL.

http://www.gospelrevolution.com This guy knows his bible, and he knows how it all points to the irradication of law. He used to be an evangelical preacher making thousands a week. Now he may be poor, but he teaches the truth that he found. Good researcher and historian.

Love and light.

It's not right there. If it was, and if it was as irrefutable as you are implying, why didn't you post that citation as evidence to your claim?

Read Romans 13:9 - The commandments, "You shall not commit adultery, You shall not kill, You shall not steal, You shall not covet," and any other commandment, are summed up in this sentence, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself."

You asked for a reason why Catholics teach their children the Ten Commandments? Romans 13:9 is just one of many reasons.

Where in Romans does it say to abandon the Commandments?

Do you really want children to grow up and to start committing murder, theft, adultery, and all the other things the Commandments forbid?

Are you honestly curious or are you trying to tear down the Catholic religion?

I'm not Catholic, but I really think that trying to destroy anyones faith in a "love based" religion is wrong. Who are you to judge?
