becuase most religions say they believe the bible and follow it, but then they act on things contrary to its teachings. eating of blood can also be read is takin it in, and intraveniously is taking blood in. blood is considered sacred and in God's eyes, shouldnt be given out to anyone. And whwen Jesus said eat my blood, he was holding wine and meant it symbolically, not literally.

I know exactly where you are coming from. Read my answer to your other question. If you want to know about blood transfusions, research the topic thoroughly and come to an informed decision. The Bible has a little to say about blood, like pouring it out after an animal is killed, but they obviously weren't operating on people back then. It also says blood represents life. There's tons of info. available for you to quench your curiosity on, if that is what you are really after. Just don't wait till the last minute to fight the issue over with doctors if your mind is not made up over the issue.

That's a good question.

The Bible speaks of abstaining from the consumption of blood of animals.

It is silent on the issue of transfusing blood from one person to another for life-saving purposes.

But most religions -- including the Catholic Church, the one designated by Jesus with the power to bind or loose on earth things that would also be bound or loosed in Heaven -- consider blood donation to be a great act of charity.

Very good question. This is why we JWs do not accept blood transfusions. The blood is sacred and the Bible is clear about the uses of blood. There are other kinds of treatments that do not involve blood.

Thats a very good question. I think its that they fear death. My friends are Jehovah witness' and they all have cards that tell doctors that they forbid any type of blood transfusion. I would like to know this myself thanks for asking.

I think when the Bible says that it means to stay away from blood rituals and murder.

The Bible does not prohibits blood tranfusion, and the context you might be refering to is when they were preparing meat for food.

Jehovah's Witnesses don't, based on what the Bible says, and it's sacredness to the Creator.

If you drink his blood and eat his flesh in church, you are accepting blood. You are also a cannibal.

Do you want to know the answer to this for yourself or to condemn someone else. Live and let live. take care of those things that have to do with you and let others do what they will. get your relationship with God together and you won't have to worry about what anybody else is doing.
