It depends on the restaurant. Sometimes if I have a large order or the restaurant is particularly nice I'll tip whoever put the order together a tip (about 10%). I used to fill to go orders as a hostess, and they can be a pain.

This is the same reason you dont tip at McDonalds or Burger King. No one's SERVING you you're carrying the food yourself.

I frequent a Chinese food place, I almost always eat there, and I tip, depending on the service. I ALWAYS leave a LITTLE something, if service was lousy, they get a penny. This is a MUCH stronger message than leaving no tip at all. But if I'm ordering the food to go, I leave no tip, even though there's a tip jar just for that reason.

i would say definitely yes. i work at a pf changs and the people that put the to-go orders together do a lot of work for you, therefore they deserve a tip. the take the order, ring it in, box everything up, give you all your stupid sauces and chopstix you ordered, and then bring it out to you...you could spare them a buck or two

NO. You pay tips for services provided. Pick-up by yourself is not service provided by others

No, because you're tiping the waiter's service, and there isn't any waiter to tip.
