Maybe you should go to a pet store and try buying some books (because I think that reading books are better than websites).
You should also try to ask the people that work at the pet store questions on the certain kind of animal you want to know about. (They are usually more than happy to help!)
I hope you find the information you need! ~Good Luck~

Websites aren't always accurate. There are some that will give you the wrong information and cause you to hurt your pet. Buy a book. They're very good sources for learning.

You can check aboutpets.com, their section on dogs health is always very informative but i would agree with answer number 1. You can find excellent books on dogs health.

The advantage of books is that they offer you a greater variety. You have books dedicated to conventional veterinary procedures/drugs, some on natural remedies, also altentaive therapies

But please don't forget! If in doubt do visit your Vet!

If you have a purebred, then AKC websites are reliable for potential health problems of the certain breed.

Your library should have a Home Veterinary Handbook. It is excellent..check it out, or buy it on ebay.
