While many people think ADD is a learning disorder, it is really just another way to excuse a person for their behaviors. Teachers love it because it means that one more kid will be drugged and controllable in her class. Parents love it because they won't have to attend anymore teacher conferences and listen to how bad their kids is. And they don't have to discipline, guide or deal with their kid...afterall it is just the ADD. I wonder if parents realized that all the medicine for ADD is just legalized speed would they really want their kid on it.

A.D.D. sucks...I am 47 and found the reason for alot of the struggles in my life 5 years ago.
Always late for almost everything...
Couldn't hold a job for an extended period of time, that went on for years, it finally got some better but still not great.
depression...on meds. that help some.
easily frustrated
lose things constantly
blurtting out the first thing that comes to my mind without realizing the consequences..sometimes hurting others feelings unintentionally, and not even realizing it until later...
just to name a few of the symptoms I have to deal with..
But I know things could be worse, so I am thankful for the things that are going right in my life, I see others with bigger struggles than mine. God is good to me.

A.D.D. is Adult Deficit Disorder.

Basically it means that the person with this has great difficulty in learning and retaining what that person reads.

This is a very common disorder. I myself know several people with this disorder. Just as a reference - the singer Cher has this disorder.

Please check for more information on the Net.

Have a lovely rest of the day.

Attention Deficit Disorder. Basically, it's when a person's thoughts move so quickly through their heads, that their bodies can't keep up and they seem very disorderly in their actions. It doesn't mean they are bad kids or stupid. Many of the people with ADD are actually quite intelligent. They just don't know how to slow down the thoughts to a normal pace. Here is a scientific definition for you.

It is an inability to stay focused on the subject at hand. This is a much over diagnosed condition in children and they are put on drugs for it. In the adult cases I have seen you tell them one thing at a time to do and follow up to see they did it.
