my advice is to talk to him about it. make a choice together but remember that if it doesn't work out, it's pretty hard to go back to the friendship you had before. as you're 14, i'd say (without wanting to sound like your mum) don't risk the friendship. boyfriends will come and go but a good friend is really hard to find.

the only other thing is, it's there now between you and it's hard to turn off all those emotions - even if you keep doing best friend stuff, both of you are always gonna be wondering what it would be like if you were boyfriend and girlfriend. so maybe you could not see each other for a while, wait until your hormones have calmed down a little, and then go on being best friends. not easy, but if he's really a good friend, then hang on to that.

Wow this brings back some memories sweetie,

What a wonderful but awful age to be!!!!!

Yes you are right your hormones are playing up at this age, the question is ....

HOW DO WE CONTROL THEM WITHOUT MAKING A FOOL OF OURSELVES?

The answer :- we can't !!!!

What I will say though is that your feelings are very real and it will only make matters worse is you pen them in. I suggest you speak with your male friend and express your fears, ( baring in mind that boys that age say anything to get female attention).

Friendships are very hard to come by, but what you need to be aware of is that boys can't have female friends at that age there is always an ulterior motive ( they have hormones aswell). So I'd say after speaking with him GO 4 IT..... you have nothing to lose, just keep yourself nice and don't let him take advantage.

Respect yourself, this is the only thing precious to us that we choose to give away, and can never get back.

Have fun sweetie, you're only young once.

xxxxxxx

Dont even go there at 14!! you should be studying. Forget about dating its the last thing u wanna be doing right now. I'm sure your parents would agree with me-- forget boys they come and go-- opportunitys to study, get the results you want and guarentees that you will get the job you always wanted is far more important than engaging in childish behaviour with boys!!

Get studying and forget boys until after your exams

well from my experience, i am totally in love with this guy and i have been for 15 years and we grew up together, he and I were together, and we are still just as good friends if not better, we are now just friends and we agree that a relationship will never work, and things aren't weird for us, we don't let that come between our friendship,

Take a chance and go for it. If you don't try you, you will never know. Maybe you guys will be together for a long time or maybe it won't work. Don't let fear stop you just go for it.

Do what your instincts tell you. :) Think about him too...does he like you? Do you get that vibe from him? I hope everything works out!
