What if the BTK killer was never caught but on his death bed repented? Are we STILL to say that we are no better or worse a person than he is? Then why DO we even have laws at all?
Shouldn't the real laws be : do whatever you want, kill, whatever, because acts don't matter. and then arrest and burn everyone who "denies Jesus" at the stake? why not?

All sin is the same in that all sin is sin. Doesn't seem all that hard a concept to get unless, of course, you don't want to get it which, in that case we are wasting are time--probably. Nonetheless, the laws we have are human laws to keep order. The government really couldn't care less about your life in the hereafter. As for you, "denying Jesus," I don't think we should burn you at the stake. I think we should feel sorry for you and pray for you. And I'm not even a fundamentalist. In fact, many of them don't consider me a Christian.

Jane, Jane, Jane you are too honest in your search. Nonetheless there is a law for the here and now and a law for the long haul. At the end of the day God wants all to make it to heaven but for here and now He wants law and order in order to raise the world of people up to be intelligent and caring. You are too honest to belong to any group and will be haunted by depression because your expectations will cause pain in the body when they are not true to life. You are a precious girl for sure but sorrows are to come your way . Be strong brave heart there is a reward for each type of God's children.

If someone accepts jesus before they die, it means they have learned their lesson, and are now a good person. It doesn't matter if it takes a whole lifetime of killing people to learn the lesson, it's about the last second. And if Mother Teresa renounced jesus in the last second, she deserves eternal torture. You are hung up on a revenge mentality, and that isn't healthy. It makes baby jesus cry.

We get it already! Point being, the greatness of God's love states to his children that there is nothing you can do that His love and forgiveness is still available to you through his Son Jesus Christ!

We PUNISH people on EARTH. God decides what to do with their SOUL. Eternal Damnation is far worse then anything we can do on Earth. Do you really think he could repent? I mean he would have had to show REMORSE, if you saw him he had no remorse. Just because you ask forgiveness on your death-bed doesn't mean you have remorse.

Love thine enemy. Judge not lest ye be judged. Etc.

These are not just cute phrases. If you want to call yourself a Christian, learn forgiveness.

I agree that Christian Theology makes no sense on that point. At least no one has been able to explain it totally successfully to me.
