I am an Adventist and I do believe that we follow the Bible closer than others. We have many biblical references for everyone of our 28 fundamental beliefs.

To respond to the above writer The Sabbath was created by God in the garden of Eden. The Sabbath was not given only to the Jews it was given to all men. In addition If the Sabbath was part of the mosaic law then so is the law of not commifting murder, adultery and bearing false witness, because they were all written on the 10 commandments. If the others are in effect why would the Sabbath not be in effect? In additiion there are numerous refences to Jesus, the disciple and the early church observing Sabbath.

Colossians 2:14 was referenced as the text saying the law was done away with, however look at what it says

"Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross"

The question is what is the handwriting of ordinances discussed in this verse.

"Take this book of the law, and put it in the side of the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, that it may be there for a witness against thee." Deut 31:26

From this it is clear that the ordinances was the law of Moses. But the 10 commandments written by the finger of God in stone are placed in the ark. the ordinances of Moses are done away with not the 10 commandments of God.

It is funny the only commandment people want to do away with, ignore, and forget is the one that starts of with Remember, maybe God knew people would try to get rid of it.

As for the trinity
"Then God said, "Let us make man in our image" Genesis 1:26

"1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2He was with God in the beginning" John 1:1

from this we see that there is only ONE god but distinct parts.

as for the Holy Ghost being part of the Godhead look at Jesus farewell speech to the disciples
"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,"
Matthew 28:19

"May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all" 2 Corinthians 13:14

The Holy Spirit is mentioned with God the Father and God the Son to form ONE God.

Unfortunately the Seven Day Adventist Church still cling to the Sabbath, which was part of the Mosaic Law given to the Nation of Israel. The SDA's claim that part of that Law has been done away with, and the other part hasn't.
However, the Scriptures clearly upon examination prove otherwise.
They also hold fast to the belief that our Creator is part of a Triune God,which is not a Bible teaching anyway.
They do follow the scriptures more closely than most other churches of Christendom, however their understanding of the scriptures is not accurate.
The only religion that follows the Bible and lives by its standards and principles and shares what they have learned with others, just as Jesus did and taught his followers to do are Jehovah's Witnesses. This is the only religion that has a clear understanding of the Bible, and the only religion to use God's name, which is Jehovah.

They follow it somewhat closely(1Cor.3:1-3); but not completely.
I used to be one; til God(2Tim.1:9) called me into his church.
