Neither of us set out to drink alot. It was 98 degrees in the shade and it turned into a party with the neighbors. He won't let me explain that it was the Quervo talking; won't answer calls, e-mail, text messaging; dumped me over a swear word. He's hardly a prude and has been plenty mean to me in the past. Is it because I stood up to him?

You know what, Tequila is HIGHLY underrated as being a very volatile spirit. Many a people have become extremely irrational on Tequila. Think about it, would you walk across 150 miles of desert to cross a country? Yet thousands of the Tequila's native homeland do it every day!!!
Just give him time to cool off and when he does, explain that you won't be drinking Tequila ever again. I had to do the same thing after I cussed my fiancee out in a bar after 3 margharitas. Haven't touched it since.
BUT, he does need to be a bit better about forgiveness so I would ask him to please be more open to communication and working things out after a fight. Tell him that you don't believe the silent treatment is the best way to deal with things.

Sounds like it is because you stood up to him....If he can't understand that alcohol does talk then he should avoid drinking...If he truly loves you he will understand

if he wont answer dont keep bugging him. But do send him a messages or email and tell him you are sorry for what you said and you wont say it again,

if you guys have bin together that long you should resolve it. and if he;s too stuborn to apoligize 1st then you be the bigger person and do it.
