Ok entrance into Heaven has nothing to do with ur good works and how moral u are. So if I accepted Jesus as my savior, does that mean I can become slightly more evil than I was before? Whats the maxium amount of evil I can be to still be allowed in to heaven?

"Whats the maxium amount of evil I can be to still be allowed in to heaven?" That's an old joke. If you truly accepted Him as your savior, you would not wish to be so blatantly evil. You would strive to be more like Him. There is a saying to the effect that faith without works (not "good works" but acts of faith) is useless.

Quite similair to the last question so I'll say the same thing almost!

Some Christians believe that knowing Jesus alone will get you in to Heaven. However, if you don't continually walk with the Lord and do good things and just sin away, you're not going to get into Heaven in my opinion. So after you accept Jesus as your savior you must continue to try to lead a Christ-like life and love your neighbor.

So as you can see, a lot of Christians have skewed views of the "criteria" for Heaven. But who are we to say how people will be judged? Only the Lord knows.

Ms. Vixen, I'm afraid the god-squad's got you on this one. But if that's the route you're taking, I think there are possibilities. The time-honored method is to forego piety until you reach a certain age. Or, as my friend Chris says, "Have a blast until you can't."

I'm sure you yourself have observed how the vast majority of the righteous and holy are past the age of much sinning anyway. Essentially, when no one want to sin with you, you are, de facto, virtuous. (Well, at least in the area of sinning that resembles a Tango - taking two to.)

Obviously this requires some rather careful calculations. I mean, you could be having fun with your friends and, say, a disco-chandelier falls on you. (OK, that was an old-timer's reference, but you get my point.)

In my case I plan to stop sinning next fall. Of course I mean really biggies, like against the Holy Ghost & stuff. I'm going to have to play it by ear with some others, e.g., gluttony.

I hope this helps.

Accepting this belief or that does not give one a blank check to behave immorally. Or, to put in the terms of those who do believe, part of accepting Jesus is repenting of your evil ways i.e. to cease doing them and to try to make amends for them. Many would argue that without a thorough examination of your self and your action, and without a change in your character such that you cease to commit evil, then you haven't really accepted Jesus at all. The whole idea supposedly is that embracing Jesus as savior is a life-changing event: one quits living in evil or sinful ways, and begins to live a more compassionate, decent, and moral life.

It is a shame, however, that many Christians would appear to act just as you suggest...they think that accepting Jesus means all is forgiven so now they have a blank check to be as wicked and hateful as they want. There is, however, no denomination of Christianity that subscribes to that notion. Acceptance of Jesus requires a change in character and a modification of behaviors from those deemed sinful to those deemed moral and compassionate.

Accepting Christ is not lips service, although many Christians think that it is, It is a way of life. Reading the word, learning the word, living the word. Being Christ Like, having the mind of Christ. These things are not just lip service.

Read the Gospel of John first then the rest of the gospels then Acts and Romans. There is where you will find what being a real Christian is about. Find it for yourself do let someone else just feed you bits and pieces.

lol. No that is not what it means. When you accept Jesus into your heart, it is not so that you can get away with more wrong even though He is fogiving..it is so you can live the life that you were destined for. So that you can spread the gospel of Jesus to the nations, and be a testimony of His goodness! Once we accept Jesus, it is no longer about us, for whatever we do should all be done to the glory of God! God Bless!

There is no way you should be more evil than before. Are you taking the grace of God for granted? (Check out Romans 4, in fact the whole book of Romans would answer your question.) The moment I accepted Christ, I am more aware of my own sin. For example, i never thought twice about white lies before, but i know God knows

That is what most churchs are teaching today that the Ten Commandments were nailed to the cross but in 1 John 3 it states what sin is, its the trangression of God's law. Moses law was the law that was nailed to the cross. We are not saved by the ten commandments, we are saved by the Blood of Jesus. If you accept and love Jesus he then says that if you love me you will keep my commandments. So separating the two is deadly and the Bible also says that faith without works is dead - so it is easy to say that i accept and believe but Jesus is asking us to follow and keep his commandments, all ten of them Exodus 20.

James Chapter 2 states that faith without works is dead.

Your faith the the Lord Jesus Christ should really drive you to be even more moral than you were and serve where ever you are needed.
