Multiply the speed in MPH by 1.60 gives you the speed in kph
Easy rule of thumb is that 60 mph = 100 kph
Add half to each and 90mph = 150 kph, etc

A kilometer is approximately 5/8 of a mile or, to put it another way, one mile is approximately 1.6 km. Therefore, multiply the speed in kph by 1.6. This is an approximation but it is close enough for most purposes.
For example: 50 mph X 1.6 = 80 kph.

Easy way ive learned is to divide the kph number by half, and add the tenth's digit. Its not entirely accurate but will be close enough if you need it for driving your car in another country.
80kph = 40mph + 8 = 48mph
50kph = 25mph + 5 = 30mph
100kph = 50mph + 10 = 60mph
Its not accurate to the decimal but it helps you get out of speeding tickets if your driving in another country! Good luck!
