They don't sell em dat cheap. I own one and the only place you can get it is either from the infomercial or on ShopAtHome.com. I paid like $80 for mine, but they sometimes offer ez pay on it where you make da first payment of $20 and they send it right to you, then u just pay $20 every month for 3 more months. Check it out. It's really worth the money though. It works GREAT. It's da only machine I've used on my hair dat really straightens it completely with NO tangling or frizz and it stays straight for as long as you don't get it wet. I love it, it's awesome.

I don't know what the naxiglide hair straightener is, but have you heard of the Remmington Wet/Dry straightener? It's the best! I have used straighteners quite a bit, but this past Christmas my boyfriend's mom got me a Remmington Wet/Dry straigthener and I won't ever use anything else. You can straighten your hair when its wet so you don't have to dry then straighten. Its GREAT! I say I have new hair because your hair feels so smooth and full of life afterward! Its only $35!

I don't know. But there are two different straighteners in my household, and both of them work great. Neither are a maxiglide, so you might give a brand like conair a try if you haven't already.

You can get one from Bed Bath and Beyond for 79.99 and if you get one of their coupons for 20% from that store they will let you apply it to that product.
