My mother, a true GRITS (girls raised in the south), made awesome fried chicken when I was little- I don't eat fried chicken anymore but maybe in her honor I'll do just that.
This is the way that she made it:

Authenic Southern Fried Chicken 4servings

Beat together in pie plate 2 eggs and 1/3c milk.-

In a large plastic zip lock bag place 1 c flour, 1t seasoned salt and pepper to taste- you can add any seasonings that you want instead of the seasoned salt, eg, 1 t onion powder and 1 t celery seed ; or 1 t Emeril's original Essence; or 1 t Tony Chachere's Creole Seasoning; or 1 t hot paprika- use more it you like it spicy. You can add seasonings or not but if they don't have salt in them, don't forget to add it.

Heat canola oil in deep pan, enough to cover the amount of chicken, to 350 degrees or med hot heat.

Wash chicken pieces, dry on paper towels. Dip in egg mixture and drop two pieces at a time in flour, zip closed and shake til chicken is coated. Drop into heated oil. Continue with rest of chicken.

Fry til crispy and medium brown.

I agree with B's answer, see Paula Deen's recipe. I have made her Gussy's Fried Chicken with Pecan glaze already and it was awesome. Paula has a lot of good recipes. If you go to foodnetwork.com and click on Paula's show, all of her recipes are right on there. Good luck!

u dont need a recipe really, jus thaw out the chicken peices, then sprinkle seasoning salt on both sides of each one, then roll in all-purpose flour, then put in hot oil, turn once the bottom has browned, then take out when its golden brown all around
