Everyone was not meant to be the same. And NO homosexual thinks everyone should be gay. It's only some of the heterosexual side that think everyone should conform to some cookie-cutter image.
Not all straight people want to have kids - that is the same as if they were in homosexual relationships. Are they EQUALLY as 'wrong' as gays?
Also, many animal species demonstrate homosexuality. Horses, rats, penguins, cats, dogs, etc etc etc have all had recorded cases of naturally occuring homosexuality. In the horse-breeding industry, a gay breeder horse is called a 'reticent breeder'...

While I don't subscribe to these religious beliefs, I can offer a snippet of perspective on this from a book I read by Martin Buber. His "take" on Adam and Eve and Original Sin is that, as (alleged) progeny, all humans have the "potential" for sin. To further Buber's commentary (if I can be bold enough to paraphrase), he describes Adam's subsequent response of guilt when God asks, "where Art Thou?" The question is not revealing limitations of God's Omniscience (as Buber would say), rather, he is posing the question for Adam to ask himself, "where am I in my life?"
I agree with you that bumper-sticker philosophy is literature for an Attention Deficit Disorder population. It glosses over the complexities of humanity and reduces these profound issues to sound bites. It also effectively ends debate and discussion, rather than promote insightful and critical thinking.
As for sin and banishment and being condemned to die, the reality is, all life eventually dies. However, life goes on, albeit in different forms. There's nothing written anywhere that says one is guaranteed safe passage. As sentient beings, we are the only ones aware of this concept, and it scares the, well, it scares us. So, we invent belief systems that can possibly give comfort when we do not know what to expect. That said, it's hard enough living and then having someone distort that belief system so as to disenfranchise another. We're all in the same boat.
I say we try to keep it afloat with as many members as possible

We are all free people with free will. Yes Adam and Eve are required to "breed". However, life is not all about that. We live in an overpopulated planet anyway. How can you encourage someone to go against their grain? The bumper sticker thing is a fear of the unknown. Noone is asking anyone to join their cause. They just wanted to be treated equally.

I, personally, am not up for an "Adam and Eve" lifestyle. I think those same people who quote that stupid catchphrase would have a problem with it as well.
I mean, for one thing, fig leaves aren't very warm in the winter, are they? And we'd all be arrested and go to prison for indecent exposure, which might lead some of them to experience the whole "Adam and Steve" issue rather more intimately than they'd care for.

OK I believe Homosexuality is an ACT and a SIN. I also believe fornocation is an ACT and a SIN. Boy imagine how PISSED those hetrosexuals would be to hear that "casual" sex is a SIN!!! Personally I think the arguement is STUPID with that wording. Sorry but why not JUST USE THE BIBLE VERSE. Man shouldn't lay with a man the way he lays with a woman. Wow that really takes alot of THOUGHT to figure out.

the sticker means in essence, that God created a man and woman for pair bonding at the begining, otherwise if he had intended for same sex pair bonding, he would have created two of the same sex to bond with one another
it's a cutesy little stab that doesnt require much though
i believe in God but understand that the creation story as related in Genesis is not how the earth and living beings were created
God in fact, did create adam and steve, in the sense that homosexuality is observed in almost all mammal species

Ther is more to the Adam and Eve story that we dont know, but men and women have bodies that are meant for one another, meaning what is meant for in the female and males, the other side of the mountain ,males males, have no function, then again we in this sosiety need to be more assertive of our male children ,protectibve, so they dont fall into a predators play, most homosexuals that I have known personally ,males were molested at early childhood, many times, in contrast with the females, who have a low ratio of molestation by other females, but at an older age perhaps from being abused by males they seem to gravitate to one another, what we need is EDUCATION< PROTECTION and COMPASSION in order to let our children grow in healthy and the way is suppose to be ways.

i truly believe that Adam was in fact gay, he just didn't have any choice.
when a macho guy (and being the only guy on earth would have left him with gigantic macho-feelings) he couldn't be too long without sex.
there are many stories of people in prisons who have homosexual sex, even if they are straight as hell. Just because of the lack of sex. Adam slept with Eve, because of the lack of other guys.
Nowhere in the bible can be found that Adam in fact loved Eve.
Maybe it's even worse and the bible was wrongly translated, and Yves was made from Adams rib. Who knows?

Good question. Here's another one. Why Adam and Steve? Why not Genevieve and Eve? Must there be a male bias in everything? Even bigotry?

It's one of those things that bigots think is clever, without realizing that it's just a meaningless cliche.
Heck, if you believe in a Christian god, don't you believe that he created Adam AND Steve AND Eve AND Rosie O'Donnell?
