Everytime i go to my doctor, he looks at me like im not even serious. I was in a horrific car wreck 2 years ago and I need some pain meds to get me by when my back hurts real bad. (30 pills will last me like a year) But he keeps blowing me off. What do i tell him?

You may want to seek a second opinion. I would if I were you.
If your insurance will cover it look for a headache and pain center, they are in KC area don't know where you are. They are the best places to go. They will listen to you.

Several different approaches:

1) Second opinion
2) Demand attention or you will report him to the officials that govern Physicians in your area (that tends to put a fire in their belly and make them that notice)
3) Offer to help him feel the same sort of pain you do and let you know how he feels - but this approach I would strongly NOT recommend although it's great to think about : )

It's not fun being in pain - hope you get better soon!

Doctors don't like to give narcotics out. If you really have bad back pain, you should go to a pain managment specialist.

Go to the ER and get an xray done. If there is a problem they'll find it and prescribe something for your pain.

Repeat after me:

"Doctor, I'm experiencing extreme pain in my back. Prescribe a medication that will make that pain managable. Do not undermedicate me. Do you have any questions about my level of pain?"

Let this be your mantra: "Do not undermedicate me."
