have i violated yahoo answers community guidelines. most answers that i have received are those of appreciation and i got only 3 of them laughing at my question, have i violated codes? many of them volunteered for it and many of them including respected, senior citizens and community service organisation have been intrigued by it. it was a question about starting an organisation for promoting welfare of mankind, the aged, disabled, the ailing, the poor and homeless, endangered species of animals and about promoting responsibilty for the earth amongst youth. i would like to know, that by suggesting a ngo- non-governmental organisation, have i violated any yahoo answers community guidelines? i want to know how many of u support me out there?

Okay but this isn't a question this is a recruitment. I don't see how you can't see the difference between asking "how can I start this organization" or "would people be interested in this" and "join me by sending your email here"

This site is for people to get answers to questions and not to promote whatever random cause you might have. Start your own website, I don't want to see a bunch of spam and ads on yahoo answers even if it is a good cause, this is NOT what the site is for!

Yes, I would support you but the questions may have been [mis]interpreted as advertising (and it doesn't specify whether commercial or otherwise), or as Chatting/Personal Communication

I would say, read the Community Guidelines carefully, if you feel that your questions did not contravene the Guidelines in any way, then post a question about it on the Forum. Try not to be challenging but rather seeking clarification.
-------------------------
Edit: I would urge anyone who has had a similar experience to read the Community Guidelines and interpret them sensibly. They are there to HELP genuine questioners, not to hinder them and they are supposed to protect us from stupid, supplicatory and scatalogical questions and answers - also from ones which are not PC and seek to divide rather than unite.

I do agree that Yahoo should give an explanation if the team themselves decide to remove a question.

I do think it would be helpfull if you stated if you wanted a non-profit organization or otherwise, Starting an organization is the easy part, finding people to help is the challenge and keeping it in the black is harder, I would suggest getting sponsers etc lined up first, this is going to be to long!!! go to ask.com and ask there.

I think it is wonderful to have dreams of voluntary work to make our world a better place. But your questions have been unfocused on what you wish to accomplish and how you would go about doing it. If there is serious wish to form an organization, then all rules and regulations of volunteerism must be applied...even government incorporation and grants.

You're right. I believe there are guys out there who act SNITCHY.
I asked Why black Christians love singing Amazing Grace and after 15 minutes, my question got removed.

It's so UNFAIR! Nobody insulted me or said my question was stupid, but they just removed my question! Yahoo Answers is so full of DAMNED snithchy, so just be careful...

I really don't know - maybe because you asked the exact same question twice? Good luck.

I asked what time it was where people were and they did that to me, but the guy under me, asked if he had a pus** and he was fine. Yahoo is weird.
