I have read so many misconceptions on Yahoo Answers about the Catholic faith that it has helped me become stronger in my faith and helped me to explain my faith in a clear manner. I think I've explained the biblical basis for Purgatory several times (as well as other things) and now if someone brought them up in conversation, I could immediately tell you a chapter and verses where references can be found (1 Corinthians 3:14–15). So their misconceptions have helped me and my understanding grow strong.

I have
I ask a lot of questions and get heart filled answers and I understand their are a lot of people that have been hurt by society and it will never change
I also understand their are a lot of stupid people, that do not understand anything at all, if you say the sun is out they will say the moon is out, just stupid people

So they q/a help me understand the human mind and that sin is the problem, because they refuse to stop teaching it

I have been helped in understanding the many screwed up ideas people have about True Christianity, misconceptions about the religion of Darwanism, Surprised at the number of people who are Super Christaphobic and spend so much time venting their frustrations about it!

I coach Girls 9-10 softball and I asked for tips on keeping the kids hydrated & cool during the hot summer playoffs. I got great suggestions which I use with our team and am really grateful for the good input. I mean for the most part if you ask an honest question, you get good answers. There are only a few weirdos who will be inappropriate. :) How about you?

I've had my belief reinforced that some 'christians' are hate-mongering, bigoted, self-righteous discriminatory people by reading their posts. I just wish they would be more Christ-like by:
* being accepting of the beliefs of others
* loving and working for justice and equal rights for all
* denouncing those who spread hate and bigotry

But I guess that will never happen. You make non-believers look great by comparison at times.

I think that the fitness ansers are very helpful to me. Because for a change the information isn't coming from someone who is trying to sell me something, just from people's personal experience. (that goes for all catagories) I value that. Thanks everyone!
