Being baptised is just a symbol of faith another way of asking forgiveness traditionally the church but as long as you feel is right it does not matter where as long as you are submersed and in prayer

she must have the authority of God in order to baptize you..otherwise you are just getting wet...

The Aaronic (or Levitical) Priesthood thus functioned only within the tribe of Levi, and the right to have it conferred upon one was determined by lineage and worthiness. As part of his rationale that the law of Moses was fulfilled, Paul makes a point of the contrast between the lineal requirement of the lesser priesthood and the nonlineal Melchizedek Priesthood, which was not confined to those of one tribe (see Heb. 7: 11-14). The lineal restrictions of that Aaronic (Levitical) Priesthood were lifted when the law of Moses was fulfilled, and thereafter the offices of the priesthood were conferred upon worthy men without limitation to the tribe of Levi. This appears to be the case in the Church as recorded in the New Testament and in the Book of Mormon (where there were no Levites), and is presently operative in the Church as it has been restored in the latter days.

The Aaronic Priesthood continued “with the house of Aaron among the children of Israel” from Aaron until John the Baptist, who was a priest in the Aaronic order and by this authority he prepared the way for and baptized Jesus. Nineteen centuries later this same John was sent from heaven as a resurrected being to confer the Aaronic Priesthood upon Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery. This was done on May 15, 1829, near Harmony, Pennsylvania, along the banks of the Susquehanna River. At that time John outlined some of the duties, privileges, and limitations of the priesthood, specifying that the Aaronic Priesthood holds the keys of the ministry of angels and can perform baptisms by water, but has not the authority to confer the gift of the Holy Ghost. The Aaronic Priesthood functions under the direction of the Melchizedek Priesthood.

I got baptized in a Lake, the important, thing is that you are baptized as a believer, not just because some woman wants to baptize you. The desire of being baptized has to come from you and you need to understand that it is a long life commitment with God. The Submerging in water represents the burial of Christ and the Coming back up from the water represents the resurrection, you are resurrected and should now live in the Spirit and be born again.

Baptism is just the outward symbol and representation of what Christ has done in a believer's life. It is a testimony to the world.

My only question would be, to whom are you testifying too? If there is no church, does that mean it will be a private baptism? Just make sure that it's public. Baptism isn't what saves you anyway.

If somebody is baptized without being taught correctly, their baptism is invalid (Acts 19:1-7).

This woman is acting as a minister, and so is not teaching correctly (1 Timothy 2:12).

Therefore, you should not be baptized by this person.

Why would you get baptized in the first place? If you have trusted that the Lord Jesus Christ died for your sins then the Holy Spirit baptized you into His body and you became a member of His body in particular 1 Corinthians 12: 13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. 1 Corinthians 12: 27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular. Today in the age of grace, there is only one baptism and that baptism is by the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 4: 4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; Ephesians 4: 5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

You can always go to a local church and ask that chrurch's minister if there is a problem with having her as a second minister. Or even perhaps, if she can perform the service at the church.

Something does not sound right about that. Why does she want to do it at her house vice a church? Do you really want to be baptised or is this something you think you must do? You have to be ready to be baptised. You are surrendering your life to the ways of Jesus. Once you know why you get baptised then you would have felt a sense of urgency and wouldnt have time to pose this question. It would have already been done.

Our pastor who has been in the ministry for more than 50 years, has told us he has baptized is so many different places, even in a bath tub. Our church baptizes in a local creek, like the old days. Our church before that used a pool. If your heart is right, go for it!!
