The bible says NO: Genesis 6:5-6

If he truly had been omniscient, he should have known the outcome, and there would have been no reason to repent (King James), or to be sorry (English Standard).

What am I missing?

OK...for the Christians that do not know how to google....

Genesis 6:5-6 (King James Version)
King James Version (KJV)
Public Domain
5And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

6And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

Damn... is there any chance, anybody can give me a logically sound answer, without circular references (you cannot prove the accuracy of a source with the source itself, so please stop quoting the bible), or without a plea to be more ignorant.....

OK - one more time: E.g. If you are omniscient and you did something, how could you possibly BE SORRY about the outcome?

Of course he's omniscient, and that's a VERY good question too. And there is a reason to repent because look at us, we're horrible creatures. Now if you're asking what is the whole point of of human life and the beginning of man and the coming of Jesus....well, besides to love Him and obey Him - our choice of course..I'm not sure why He did it...maybe it's just a match between God and the Devil...perhaps, since we all came from heaven to begin with....we were maybe once angels and this is God's way to sort out the ones that will love and follow Him, or give into sin and follow the devil (since the devil himself was once God's most favorite angel). But, He does know the outcome....He's the beginning and the end. Don't ask too many questions....just remember, we're only measly humans...we think we're intelligent...but are we REALLY? No. It's called faith...., the questions will be answered the day you stand beside Christ in heaven in a perfect paradise, but for now....this is our the test that determines separation from God or not.

lol ur right "hes" not, if he actually exhisted, which I will leave each to their own opinion on that point.

Technically the whole "all knowing, all powerful, all loving" thing doesn't work out in itself. For example, take sin. If he knows about sin, is all powerful, and is all loving, sin would not exhist. He either A. does not care enough to get rid of sin B. CANNOT get rid of sin or C. doesn't know it going on. Otherwise it would be gone. People have disputed this saying sin is the workings of the devil.. but why can't god just beat the devil? Hes all powerful right? xD

^I just find that to be quite funny

You are right. God is NOT omniscient. That makes Him a just , fair and wise. how?

If God knows that Adam will eat from the fruit, it would be a great nonsense for Him to order them not to eat.

If God knows that Satan will betray, it would be unwise for Him to create Satan.

If God knows all, there is no such thing as freewill, then God will be lying when He said we were called in freedom (Galatians 5:13). But it is impossible for God to lie (Hebrews 6:18) [making God not omnipotent]

The strongest proof directly came from God.

God says in Jeremiah 7:31 They have built the high places of Topheth in the Valley of Ben Hinnom to burn their sons and daughters in the fire-something I did not command, nor did it enter my mind.

Did God know that they will burn their sons and daughters in the fire?
God said "nor did it enter my mind".

The Bible has a tendency to contradict itself because different parts of it were written by different people centuries apart. Most Christian denominations say that God is omniscient.

There is a point is some peoples life when they realize that there is evil in the world and the reality of it is no amount of prayer is going to change that, this is when their innocence is lost forever, faith and hope appear to be the character traits of an imbecile to me, and I think that is knowing more than most care to acknowledge, in their narrow minded brainwashed way of thinking

Your missing the etymology of the word..its derivation and the fact that in that day..the meaning for "repent" as we know it was a tad bit different

The Heb. root means ‘to be sorry,’ ‘moved to pity,’ ‘have compassion- he may not be sorry for what he has done as much as being sorry for his people as is led to believe by being moved to pity or having compassion.

1 Sam. 15: 11.
11 It repenteth me that I have set up Saul to be king: for he is turned back from following me, and hath not performed my commandments. And it grieved Samuel; and he cried unto the LORD all night.

2 Sam. 24: 16.

16 And when the angel stretched out his hand upon Jerusalem to destroy it, the LORD repented him of the evil, and said to the angel that destroyed the people, It is enough: stay now thine hand.

Omniscient is all knowing...he has known the outcome of every situation but that doesn't mean he will solve our battles for us..

I'm not sure I follow your logic. You're saying God is not all-knowing because He was sorry for the actions of His creation? He was grieved because He loves His creation. His creation was corrupt of their own choosing. God knew this and still knows this. However, He was pleased to send His son to die for all sin. God is pleased when someone repents. He knows our actions, but doesn't agree with them all.

What connection would you like us to make?

Why can't you provide the reference if you want people to discuss it, instead of expecting people to go look it up. Some of us don't actually memorize the book. Just because it happens, doesn't mean that God doesn't know the outcome. It means he allows things to take their course even if he wants someone to change it. It's called freewill.

not to be insulting but there is a whole lot your missing.
Yes He is Omnisient Yes He did see what was coming. That why He sent His Son because He knew you where going to mess up and miss the mark. So He sent His Son to do it for you and to take the condemnation you derserve for what youv'e done so you don't have to. really short version

God is omniscient but he can't make people choose him! People choose to sin daily and they haven't been slaughter yet. God is sitting on his throne shaking his head at you and saying He hasn't lifted a finger towards ur sinful life but yet you judge him over something he said he will never do again! Sad.
