Well... why are they so rare? They're arguable the perfect house dog for urban, suburban, and farm living. I'm just curious as to why they haven't caught on more than they have.

They are great dogs, maybe the best of the terriers. Breeders keep this a secret, because they don't want a bunch of dopes buying their pups to breed in puppy mills to make a profit and ruin the breed (as so many others have been ruined before!) So don't tell anyone!

They are all over the place here in south west Louisiana. I don't know how many breeders there are here but I see them alot. People are encouraged not become breeders for any breed dog because people are irresponsible and end up over breeding one poor littl dog. I personally don't like that breed I used to but they are a little hyper for me.

Most reputable breeders lie awake nights hoping their breed will NOT become popular. Popularity has ruined many breeds.
Oh and by the way oerfect for you may not be for everyone - for example I doubt a border terrier would be perfect herding sheep ...

we dont want to share the amazingness of them! I had one for 16 years and he was the best dog i've ever had!!
