It depends on which ark you are speaking of.
Noah's ark is the best known.
Genesis 6:15 And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.
A cubit, during the time of Hezekiah, was about 18 inches; it may have been a little longer during Noah's time. This would have made the ark around 450 ft x 75 ft by 45 ft. Modern shipbuilders know that this is an extrememly stable proportion, nearly impossible to capsize; transport ships during WWII were built to the same specifications.
That would have been more space than 520 railroad boxcars, more than enough room to carry 2 of every species of animal (and a Biblical 'kind' would often cover more than one 'species') and enough food for those who didn't hibernate.
"The ark of the covenant" (as in "Raiders of the Lost Ark"), on the other hand, was 2.5x1.5x1.5 cubits (Exodus 37:1), or approximately 3'9" x 2'3" x 2'3".
Moses was floated down the river in an ark when he was found by Pharaoh's daughter (Exodus 2:3), but dimensions are not given.

Noah's primary contribution to humanity, his incredible knowledge of naval engineering, vanished without a trace, and the seafarers returned to their hollow logs and reed rafts. Like a passing mirage, the ark was here one day and gone the next, leaving not a ripple in the long saga of shipbuilding.
Storm is announced (Genesis 6:7, 13, 17) and Jehovah sets forth the design and dimensions of the ark (Genesis 6:14-16).
The ark is to be made out of gopher wood according to a plan that calls for the ark to be three hundred cubits long, fifty cubits wide, and thirty cubits tall (450x75x45 feet, according to most creationists.
It is to contain three floors, a large door in the side, and a one cubit square window at the top. The floors are to be divided into rooms, and all the walls, inside and out, are to be pitched with pitch. Since the purpose of the ark is to hold animals and plants, particularly two of "every living thing of all flesh . . . to keep them alive with thee" (Genesis 6:19), it will have to be constructed accordingly.

Well do you want it in Cubits or feet or what? The Bible goes by Cubits, and I'm not sure what they are as my Bible isn't in front of me.
OK adding something here because people make me wonder about something. Why do you think that Noah had as many creatures as we do now? Why don't you ever consider that species weren't around at that time? I know some don't believe in evolution of species, and seperating of species but it happens. A species of dog goes to one area lives there for awhile and when it is "discovered" it is a different species then the one that left because it has adapted to it's NEW surroundings over the generations. Not to mention the species that MAN has introduced.

450 feet long (300 cubits), 75 feet wide (50 cubits), and 45 feet high (30 cubits). Seeing the dimensions make the story of Noah even more ridiculous. A boat that size would harder hold a fraction of even 1 of each animal on earth let alone a pair of each.

Why do you care anyway, since you don't believe the Bible is truth nor do you believe in God and what He says?
