Auburn color always bleeds, but she should be okay to wet it. Every washing will fade the color. Tell her to use a shampoo that doesn't contain phosphates or sulfates. Ojon shampoo is all natural and awesome and also protects color. I also color my hair deep auburn on a regular basis and da shampoo and treatment work awesome. It's also improved da condition of my hair 100%. Oh, tell her to be sure to put a sunscreen on her hair before she goes out too. (Yes dey sell them for your hair. Redken sells a really good one that works better than wearing a hat) That will keep her color from fading and changing too, cause the sun turns auburn hair lighter quick. It will also keep her scalp from gettn sunburned. Hope dis helps. :)

You can wash it when ever you want, just as long as it's a shampoo and conditioner for perm or color treated hair. Sorry to tell you this, but any type of red coloring does not stay in the hair for a long time. So if you start to see the red looking faded or dull, then thats why. Hope this helps.

She can wet it anytime after...i wait 2-3 days before i use a shampoo safe for colored hair.
Herbal Essenses just came out wuth a good one called "color me happy" $2.67 at Walmart....smells dreamy too. I am pleased with it.
Also if she goes into any salon they have shampoo with a bit of red color in it so her color witll not turn brassy as red often does after a few weeks. It'll be about $10
Good luck~

You can wash it everyday, althought it is not recommended. Especially, red colors can fake easily. My recommendation is to get a shampoo and conditioner that is for colored hair and do not wash and condition your hair more than once or twice a week. I have heard that John Frieda's red collection is great.

I usually wait a day before washing it.
I wash and condition my hair everyday with shampoo designed for colour treated hair, and my hair and colour are fine.

I like to wait 24 hours....Then the color is not stripped from the hair when you wash it.

Go ahead and wash it, it should be just fine (set) after the one day. Be sure to condition the hair very well. :)

It really all depends on what type of color you used. permanent, semi-permanent, stain, jazzing.
It's best to follow whatever the package says.
