If you bring your laptop's AC/DC converter, most likely it'll work at 220 V as well. Probably you'll need a plug adapter for it, to plug it in a French outlet (two round prongs).

Look on the back of the transformer you use in Mexico. There should be a range of input voltage that the transformer can handle. If the range is 110v to 240v, then you have no worries.

The voltage in Europe varies between 220v and 240v. As long as the transformer you currently uses can handle the range then you are protected. The transformers that come with most laptops have an input range of 110v to 240v.

You will have to get yourself a plug end adaptor since the wall sockets in France have a different configuration. Look in travel stores or wait until you get to the airport and give yourself some time to buy one there. Most international terminals sell adapters for all parts of the world.

Hope this helps

I am fairly sure you need a voltage adaptor... what is mexico running theses days? 220 or 120... Europe usese 220 and I'm fairly sure that Mexico will eb on 120... (and on single phase while eurpoe is three phase, but that matters less for outlets)..

I'd say go to the local store and pick up a set of travel adapters for the plugs and to convert the power as it's needed. I don't think you'll need anything more than that... If nothing else, the plugs are commonly different in different countries and having that extra set of plugs will help with that just in case your in a old part of europe...
