Here are a few websites that deal with Cook County and Chicago IL adoption seaches, as well as Illinois in general. You will find excellent sources / starting points there. Good luck in finding your birth father, but do not forget who raised you, as he is your "dad". Talk to him and see if he knows any other clues, if you are able to do so talk to your birth mother, and also talk to the hospital as they may have something on file. You never know, someone may be searching for you as well. It would be good for you to at least know if there are genetic traits or conditions in the family for you to be aware of, and it would be a bonus to be able to meet your biological grandparents, siblings if any, cousins, etc if it happens. Best of luck in your search, I have a sister out there somewhere who was adopted out and know how it feels to wonder about her, but we have so far been unsuccessful in our search as both of my parents have died - they make it difficult to find an adopted sibling in my state without written parental consent.

Do you currently have your birth certificate? If so, does it have your father's first AND last name on it. Do you have any other clues, like where he worked at the time you were born and/or where he lived? Does your mom know of any of his friends or workmates? Also, try the various services both on and off line that specialize in finding people. Hope this helps.

Why not ask your uncle Jamie Adams for more info. He must have used an adoption agency or something.

Maybe your Dad doesn't want to be found. The best thing you can do is honor his wishes and don't annoy him.
He left you for a reason, either your mom was a 1-nite stand or something else.
Let it go and live your life

sweetie, i really doubt anyone on Yahoo answers can help you. The hospital might be able to help, or the adoption agency. Or try asking you uncle?

If you have your fathers name- then try looking him up on the Internet.
Also you could try a talk show like Maury.... fill out a form on line.
But you really should be asking your mother about all this stuff.
Good luck!

There is this thing that they send out in the mail to everybody (i think it's everybody in the US) that finds lost people. If you report him to that group and give them info like his weight, height, hair color, eye color, etc, someone may find him. They send it out to everybody in the US since he could easily have jumped on a plane to somewhere.

ask your uncle (adoptive dad) to ask your mom who the heck your real dad is. im pretty sure she know. do you keep in touch with your mom? if you do just ask her. or look on your birth certificate to see if your dad signed it or not.
