It's very important that you get accross to the doctor the level of your pain. Think on a scale of 1-10 what level your pain is and use that with your dr. They are always in a hurry so it's important for you to be very clear.

The best thing to do is pin-point where exactly where the pain is, and explain the type of pain (shooting, pulsing, dull ache), when the pain started, and what you were doing when you got it.
Also be honest, not giving all the information will hamper your doctor helping you.

if you are a girl willbe big problem and if the doctor is femal and patint is male anther problem but finally you have to point the pain at any hoe

u have to.....i dunno what your asking just sey hey doc i have terrible pain in my back i need an x-ray thats what i did about 4 yrs ago and found out i have degenerative disc disease and osteo arthritis in my back and i was like 17-18 when i found that out! if you have it all the time and it never goes away its serious and u have to figure it out now and get urself help...or else when ur old ur gonna really feel it bad.

Put ur hand on ur waist and shout I HAVE REAL BAD BACK PAIN... that should get his attention and ur seriousness
