Now this is serious. I've dated several women for long periods of time and asked them this question but I can never get a straight answer. It's a given that guys masteurbate, everyone knows this. But do women feel the need as often as guys do ? Take it that some guys are like 3-5 times a week, maybe more maybe less. Any TRUE answers out there ?? Guys always wonder this.

A woman's cycle makes her horny (for lack of a better word) at different times, so maybe one week will be, like 3 or 4 times, and other weeks no interest at all. Now whether all woman masturbate or not, I can't answer. Some religions call it a sin (weirdos) so I'm sure some woman won't at all, or might and then feel guilty about it. In my opinion its sometimes better, and it is safer then finding some random guy, (sorry guys). I think its pretty natural, hey, if you got an itch, scratch it!

Dominic, you answered a more awkward question of mine earlier, so now I can answer one for you. Men and women are different, everyone has established that. However, not all women masturbate. I can tell you honestly that I have never in my life...I don't feel it necessary. However, for those women who do (my guess would be about 75% of women,) our urges are not as strong, and I am sure much less frequent masturbation occurs as a result.

Im not a female but I think they don't have to cause when they need it, its most likely they can go out and get some. Like for me I want it all the time but my girl just gives it up 3 times a week so the other half its masturbation for me.

Some women masturbate but some don't. At least that's my impression.

I had a girlfriend who claimed she'd never masturbated. I encouraged her to give it a try so that she could find things that gave her pleasure but I don't think she ever did.

She enjoyed sex but I think she had some kind of a taboo against pleasuring herself. She wasn't religious but there are lots of taboos that aren't religious.

You might find studies that answer your question, like the Kinsey Report, but I'm not sure which studies discuss female masturbation. I also don't know which studies are widely believed to be solid, reliable studies. (Some studies are dismissed as unreliable due to biases in the procedures used.)

I can not imagine a confident woman who would not be truthful with you nor fully enjoy the topic of conversationon...sometimes leading to enlightening, shared experiences...however...to answer the ? at hand,
as far as frequency goes, this is totally individual, whether male or female...some 3-5 times/wk., maybe more or less...

I think women feel the same need if they are not in a sexual relationship with someone. If they are getting sex on a regular basis, the need decreases.
