I asked once why doesn't being a good moral person and doing good things get u in to Heaven? I think someone said coz if it was that easy we would all be doing it. They said it's not about doing good things, being moral and doing good things just so u can feel better about ur self after wards or do good things just so u can go to Heaven etc. But what if it's not like that what if the non believer is a generally kind hearted person and does good things coz they want to make someone else feel better and cares about the other person and not doing to make them selves feel better. Will that person still go the Hell? It still doesn't make any sense to me.

Yup, if you refuse to accept Christ as your savior, you will go to hell. The only way to heaven is through Jesus.

*Gasp* You want it to make sense? LOL

In answer to your question, yes, even a Good Moral person will go to hell according to the Christian Religion. But I'm not sure why people worry about what others drum up out of a book. I could make the Bible look like it's a sin to drive a Dodge if I gave it a little thought.

And the idea that it would be easy and everyone would be doing it, then why aren't they? Isn't easier to just say "I believe" than it is to actually DO those things which they tell you? I think what it is, is those type of people know that saying "I believe" is easier than doing it and they feel secure in that. A shame, really, cause in the end they will be wondering why they didn't do something.

This is a good question, one that I believe most people have that are not quit sure about the bible. God states that the way to heaven is only through His Son, Christ. If I asked you to go out today and do 5 things for me and you came back having only completed 4 would your work be complete?

My faith has taught me that God is loving and merciful. If God is so loving and merciful, why would he turn away such a kind hearted, good person? I just don't see that happening. He loves his children and would want a good individual home with him.

Some Christians however, believe that knowing Jesus alone will get you in to Heaven. However, if you don't continually walk with the Lord and do good things and just sin away, you're not going to get into Heaven in my opinion.

So as you can see, a lot of Christians have skewed views of the "criteria" for Heaven. But who are we to say how people will be judged? Only the Lord knows.

Good point. You have to willingly give your soul. I find that hard to do, especially to a god that refuses to make itself known to all! It's a long standing tactic of evil, in my opinion, like for a (vague)example: A vampire(not real, I know!) can only enter your house if you invite it in! I suppose what I'm saying is, it would be a really effective way to co-hearse good people into willingly giving themselves over to someone/thing without certain proof of the motive behind it. The added fact you are not supposed to even question the motives behind it, only add to the suspicion, in my humble view!

Another point on that track, is even an isolated tribe, never having seen a missionary, or knowing of the existence of any 'saviour', would still be damned to a hell! How unjust is that!?

You pose a very good question!

:)

The concepts (Christian) of Heaven and Hell were designed to control and focus men's minds on punishment and reward. The afterlife is truly a more diverse and interesting place. It is the continuum of the earth life...most people believe we exist in some form following death.

Each of us is responsible for our own spirituality...and this is what is the measure of our light when we have passed from the physical body. The light will shine and show our progress to all and it will place us in the afterlife where have worked our way to accomplish through our own efforts of spirituality.

Yes. There is only ONE WAY to heaven and that is through Jesus Christ. The Bible explains it in detail, so to really get a full understanding you'll need to read it or at least go to a bible believing/preaching Church to help. But the truth is that we were put on the road to hell by the first man when he disobeyed God and gave control to the devil. God gave us a set of rules and things we could do to get off that road and it proved too hard for man. So God sent his Son, the word made flesh to give us the one and only way that we can get to heaven. Believe in the Lord Jesus and you shall be saved.

People don't know what they are talking about. How could they possibly say you are going to hell if you are a non believer. They like to think God talks to them or something. If you are good and kind hearted and don't harm anyone I'm sure God would not want you to go to hell. Don't believe everything people say. Have a good day.

There is only one true way to get into Heaven: Trust and accept Jesus Christ. It doesn't matter how you act--loving, kind, etc. I know there are a lot of different religious beliefs out there that will lead you in another way. I know from the experiences of having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ that believing in Him is real. He is real.

honey, If the person is a non-believer, then he/she doesn't believe in heaven/hell. I personally don't believe in any of it.....and athiests and agnostics aren't bad people just because they don't believe the same things as everybody else, you'll find that there are lots of nice non-believers, just like there are lots of mean christians.
