you get so addicted you don't get to spend time with your family and friends, and you don't get to study anymore which means you'll be flunking most of your subjects, etc. but there are some people who know how to manage their time among things like these.

Computer games don't encourage face to face interaction with other people, nor do they promote physical activity. On top of that they can be so addictive that you lose balance with other things in your life. This is especially true of massive online games like Worlds of Warcraft and EverQuest.
