I just dyed my hair yesterday, a very cute blonde color of course. And I was wondering, how long should I wait to wash it? And if I should in fact wait, could I at least wet it so I dont look gross today. Thanks for the help!!

you can wash your hair after color. the only reason u should wait is when u have a perm. there are also good shampoos for highlighted and blonde hair that help keep it fresh...like shimmering lights. however don't use these daily, or you'll get the purple/blue "old lady" hair! it does great to use like once a week though.

Since dying is so drying (especially if you went lighter), I usually don't wash it for about 2 or 3 days, just wet it in the shower and put in a leave in spray conditioner.

You can wash it when ever you want as long as the shampoo and conditioner is for perm or color treated hair. Hope this helps.

hi... i normally wait 2 days because if you wash your hair on the day u dye or next most of the color will wash out and your hair will look dull not as vibrant. also use a color protectant spray or creme it helps maintain your new color longer.. it works

You can wash it today but protect it from exposure to chlorine. Make sure you use shampoo and conditioner for coloured hair

you can wet it. you should wait as long as possible to wash it but be sure to use a good conditioner

You could probably wash it today and it'd be fine, jsut dont go near any chlorine for atleast a week! :) And use a colour care shampoo and conditioner! :)

you can wash it right away and it wont do anything to your color
