i bought some fresh sweet corn from the local farmers market and would like to freeze some on the cob for winter?

Clean it thoroughly, chop the ends off and put them in those double freezer bags. The cheap ones will cause freezer burn.

I'm not sure but go to www.allrecipes.com, www.hgtv.com, www.foodnetwork.com, www.marthastwert.com, or some of those other home and garden websites. I would assume that you would make sure that they are clean and put them in a container with water and freeze all of it. Or you can cut it off the cob and use it as whole kernel corn.

We grow our own corn and we put in in ziplock bags and then put in in the freezer. It works really good. JUst let it thaw for a few minutes before you boil it.

blanch it in boiling water for 30 seconds then let cool and then freeze in bags after dry

You will need to blanch it first, then stick in a sink of ice water then put it in the bags.
