Gay people should have rights in America because we give rights to all people in America. People.

They already do, the basic rights guaranteed to everyone under the US Constitution. All they are doing now is wanting additional and special rights, which no one should be entitled to. Anything beyond the basic rights given to all people is WRONG if you give special groups additional rights (ie, same rights as a married couple - if 2 people of the same sex live together they get the rights of a married couple, well then why not a man and a woman living together? They don't get these rights). NO ONE should ever be given any additional rights. What they are doing is wrong and sinful and they will answer for it along with al of their supporters and those who refuse to take a stand.

It does not matter what sexual orientation, or religion for that matter, you are, if you are a United States citizen you should have the same rights as anyone and everyone else.

Why do people come over to America from other countries and seem to get more rights and privileges than those who are born here?

all people should have the same rights in America. I don't think being gay should entitle anyone to special rights

I think a better question is "Why SHOULDN'T gay people have rights in America?"

They are people, just like you and me. and all Americans, regardless of race, religion, gender, and sexual preference should have the same rights.

Because they are Americans. And in America, we all have rights, not just the people approved of by the Christian right-wing.

Not extra rights, just the same rights as everyone else in America.

Conversely, why should straight people have rights in America? Unless you're a bigot, or discriminatory, you undoubtedly feel that everyone should have rights that are not based on their gender, age, orientation, color, religion, national origin, etc.

You do feel this way, correct?

If not, try justice, compassion, open-mindedness and love for a change. WWJD?

because they are human and if people think that they should not then we as AMERICA should just fall off the face of the earth because we preach equality but u know as well as I do that there are people out in the world that are plain ignorant and we have no time for them

No, they are not a true couple. God made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve. We should abandon the Constitution and condemn the gay problem. In the Bible, gays were stoned. Now, they are shot.
