Both prophet Jesus and Prophet Muhammad (SAW) preached the same message love of the oppressed/poor and jihad against the oppressor/corrupt. Jihad means struggle and Prophet Muhammad (SAW) stressed the inward jihad to be a better person. The Bible is also full of Islamic prophesies. One that I recall is in genesis ~from the seed of Ishmael I will create a great nation and from him 12 princes will be descendant of. Prophet Muhammad (SAW) was the only one to claim to be from prophet Ishmael plus he had 12 righteous descendants, as also stated in bukhari. The Bible also says that false prophets will not be successful but in the not to far off future, Islam will be the largest religion in this planet. Plus prophet Abraham and prophet Ishmael build the Kaba, and prophet Ishmael is buried there beside the building. Note, prophet Jesus did not have a father and was born of a Virgin Mary with the spirit, but prophet Adam had neither a mother or father and was made of the spirit without any previous human connection. If prophet Jesus brought the dead person to life, prophet Moses brought an inanimate piece of wood into a snake which is more miraculous. What is the miracle of Prophet Muhammad (SAW)? A Book, the Holy Qur'an, unchanged with proof for 1400 years, what other book can claim this? And if you think it was just good book keeping, there is a verse there claiming that God will protect the Holy Qur'an from any changes. Also the banned Bible according to St. Barnabas clearly states that Prophet Muhammad (SAW) will come after prophet Jesus.

The basis of most religions is some kind of enlightenment. Jesus taught love,as without love we cannot exist.

Jihad, according to the Dictionary is: A religious war against infidels or Mohammedan heretics; also, any bitter war or crusade for a principle or belief.

One cannot judge, so neither is right or wrong.

If you trace the roots of each religion back, you end up at Abraham. Both religions claim him to be their father. So, was abraham a christian or a muslim?

There are possibilities:

1. Abraham was a man of God
1.a So one that came from him was "true" and the other was false
1.b or both of them were false (in other words, not completly true)

2. Abraham was a nice old man, but not inspired by god
2a. IN which case neither one would be "gods truth"

I believe that to get spiritual answers you need to use spiritual methods. Read the bible AND the koran. Be humble, submissive, and ready and willing to change your life, and then pray to god for guidance.

I have done this and have been led to truth.

As for me and my house,we serve the Lord,Jesus, and am proud to say so. Mercy, forgivness, and grace.... How could anyone wish for anything else, and for that matter, no human could come up with something so simple and pure. That is what seperates" The GOD " from the man contrived mess that muhammed and his bunch birthed! The only ji'had that a Christian or better yet Christ follower, should be involved in, is the regular inward battle with self to keep it under subjection to the Spirit of God. Then when we trip up and fall, to be willing to grab on to the grace God gives through His Son, and get up and live life to the MAX. May GOD bless you and yours!!!!!!!

Its misinterpretation like Cristians do. Muhamed did not teach Jihad, Fundamentalist do. So as the Cristian teach that GOD him self torture and kill every living creature on this planet. There is no terrorism in the world combines with best wishes from Devil could not do what GOD did to kill us all.
QUoran actualy does nto teach that while Cristians do.
ALl religion should be either something private to individuals or prohibited by law's of every country.
Religion never brought anything good to any. And don't confuse religion with Faith. Faith does not need religion. Religion needs Faith.
Therefore GOD exists.

Mohammed did NOT teach Ji'had. Learn some respect. Jesus and Mohammed both taught love and respect. They're both Prophets of God. This is not a race in which you can compare which racer is better. Learn more about Mohammed, then post this question.

That just makes me think of them mudwrestling or boxing.
Muhammed married a divorced woman who owned her own land. Jesus called Mary Magdalene's means of making a living a sin. Muhammed also didn't think he was the one and only prophet and recognized Jesus as holy.
But really: two different men, two different regions and cultures, two religions meeting specific needs. It's not a simple comparison.
Let's just say the followers of both goofed very very badly somewhere along the way.

Prophet Muhammad didnt teach JIhad..jihad has become a must when muslim is being bullied by others.

Islam teach it's follower to respect other people religion, respect and love ur neighbour n family, be kind to animals etc..

I hope that people will stop being a racist of religion (both muslim and christian). Accept people the way they are not what we want them to be.

There is alot to admire about Islam, including the fact that it respects Jesus as a prophet, while we Christians often regard Mohammed with disdain and ignorance.

Both are brothers, love each others, and carry the same message. You have to find away to follow both of them so you don't contradict yourself. Christians today are in big trouble with Jesus PBUH but they don't realize that he is cursing them because they left his teachings and followed the teachings of Saul (or Paul) the corruptor.
