Firstly, use a tooth paste, squeeze some on to the disc
second, clean the DVD with a cotton,
lastly, wash your DVD with water.

it can help to remove stains and dirts, and in the same time, doesn't destory the surface of the DVD.

if it doesn't work perfectly, then try it again!

it Works!

use the ingredients mentioned by just_an_illu... (rubbing alcohol and a lens cleaning cloth), but dont stroke in circles along the circumference, stroke in outward direction away from the centre of the disc from the inside out along the radius severally. stroke the cloth with your hand after each stroke o fthe DVD to remove dust from the cloth. This is the safest way, and recommended by most DVD manufacturers.

Dishwasher.

Don't get them dirty and only use a dry cloth to remove dust. Everything else is bound to damage the disc.
