I am a single mom of four of my own kids. This is something i have been doing for my brother for two years now. Many times his parents are not working just hanging out. They have never ever watched any of my kids

Why would you charge to watch your nephew? We consider it a privilege to watch nephews in our family. Sometimes they will give money to the young family members but never a charge like a business. Do you not love him?

If it is your nephew and is not an everyday thing you shouldn charge. If this is everyday, then you should charge but remember its family and take into consideration what the family situation might be, if the parents can affor to pay you like they would pay a daycare go for it and charge them.

It depends on what you have to do for them. Just watch him or clean and cook also? How old are you? I'd say anywhere from $30-$40 per day. That's a heck of alot cheaper than a daycare.

I would make them pay you $40. That's a nice round amount and really think about how long you'll be there. Sorry I don't know how to check the area $.

You dont charge "Family", you take what is offered. Close family will always take care of each other anyway. You will be compensated one way or another in time and life.
