WE are not responsible for converting anybody!!!! Read the great comission. Preach the gospel to every creature. thats your responsibility. We must inform people of the truth and the choice they have. The rest is up to them and the holy spirit. You are only a guide!
The word preach in this scripture means that we find how the people will recieve our good news. you need to understand the culture and see what moves the people. Now love people because you love them not because you want to convert them! You love them so you inform them of the truth and coming judgment. If you wanna give food and such forth that is to show love and do as Jesus said. When you feed and clothe the poor you feed and clothe me(Jesus). Gods love in your heart should produce a fruit that wants to serve others. Then let God judge you. And let Him judge the rest. See the last verse in the book of Ecclesiastes.

Feed the body; feed the soul. If someone is in a position where I can be of service by providing food and drink, then perhaps they are also in a position to hear about salvation. If not, they've at least had a good meal and I may have planted a seed.
We have a huge food ministry at our church. It isn't required to sit and listen to a teaching or anything else. All that is required is a need. Nothing more. Walking the walk is far more convincing sometimes that talking the talk.

If the aid was offered in the true spirit of humanity, such as does the UN, there are no strings attached. However aid from religious organizations may wish to do so. But then again, if they are saving your life with their charity, it might be wise to listen long enough to get the next meal. Survival should be most important and their rhetoric the least. There is the saying 'Don't look a gift horse in the mouth' and it should apply here. But I will add one of my own "it is better to have a crust of bread and listen than to have an empty belly'.

Look I don't think you are looking at this from the right way! I think groups/churches that feed people are first doing right ! Do you have any idea how many hungry people there are in the world? I am not going to try to convert you! I will show you love and compassion! Then you can see Jesus living inside of me! Love ! God is Love! Not anger or trying to push you to believe in Him or to serve Him! You are right you will never FUSS a person into the Kingdom of GOD! Have a Blessed Day! bye

The whole idea is to love everyone and to show that love through healing or feeding, the ones helped may want to be like the helper and do the same. Sharing the knowledge of love. It has nothing to do with converting. Read Galations 5:18-24 it will explain.

It all depends on your intentions. People come into and out of your lives for different reasons. There is nothing wrong with a christian person or anyone talking to someone else about Jesus. Sometimes that might be the only time they are in your midst, when you are giving them food and water. Everyone needs to know about our LORD. Time and place shouldn't be a factor.

Was it you that was given food and water? Someone you know?
Convert to what? It is not despicable it is typical of certain religious groups to do so. You can not fault them. Only the act of Giving the necessities of life to someone, should be reward in itself, the attempt of conversion is a sort of blackmail and should not even be an issue.

You'd love to say these things at work. Probably best not to though.
1. "I can see your point, but I still think you're full of ****."
2. "I don't know what your problem is, but I'll bet it's hard to pronounce."
3. "How about never? Is never good for you?"
4. "I see you've set aside this special time to humiliate yourself in public."
5. "I'm really easy to get along with once you people learn to see it my way."
6. "I'll try being nicer if you'll try being smarter."
7. "I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message."
8. "I don't work here. I'm a consultant."
9. "It sounds like English, but I can't understand a damn word you're saying."
10. "Ahhh...I see the screw-up fairy has visited us again."
11. "I like you. You remind me of myself when I was young and stupid."
12. "You are validating my inherent mistrust of strangers."
13. "I have plenty of talent and vision. I just don't give a damn."
14. "I'm already visualizing the duct tape over your mouth."
15. "I will always cherish the initial misconceptions I had about you."
16. "Thank you. We're all refreshed and challenged by your unique point of view."
17. "The fact that no one understands you doesn't mean you're an artist."
18. "Any connection between your reality and mine is purely coincidental."
19. "What am I? Flypaper for freaks!?"
20. "I'm not being rude. You're just insignificant."
21. "It's a thankless job, but I've got a lot of Karma to burn off."
22. "Yes, I am an agent of Satan, but my duties are largely ceremonial."
23. "And your crybaby whiny-assed opinion would be...?"
24. "Do I look like a people person?"
25. "This isn't an office. It's Hell with fluorescent lighting."
26. "I started out with nothing and I still have most of it left."
27. "Sarcasm is just one more service we offer."
28. "If I throw a stick, will you leave?"
29. "Errors have been made. Others will be blamed."
30. "Whatever kind of look you were going for, you missed."
31. "I'm trying to imagine you with a personality."
32. "A cubicle is just a padded cell without a door."
33. "Can I trade this job for what's behind door #1?"
34. "Too many freaks, not enough circuses."
35. "Nice perfume. Must you marinate in it?"
36. "Chaos, panic, and disorder - my work here is done."

When I was about 8 months pregnant, my car broke down in the middle of a highway. In the rain. Two very nice gentlemen stopped, helped me move my car off the road, got me to a phone... then apologized because they were late for service and had to go. They asked if they could give me a pamphlet before they left. Was that despicable?
Personally, I took the pamphlet. I even said thank you. I considered both actions to be polite, considering the help that they had given me.

Providing food and water to the needy is always a honorable thing. Pushing someone to accept your beliefs unduly is not. Offering the option for them to consider making a choice would ok. Kinda like leading the horse to water. It has to be understood that the person has a free will to make their own decisions.
