I have been diagnosed with colitis in the colon upon a colonoscopy, They also removed polyps. That is all I know they did not tell me anymore. What does this mean?

I'm assuming that a gastro doctor did the colonoscopy? You should talk to them. Make an appointment either in person or by phone. Don't let the doc brush you off! There are several types of colitis-and you need to find out what type of treatment you need. I would also make an appointment with a nutritionist to go over diet. That will help a lot.

First off, you never want anything with -itis on the end (bronchitis, arthritis), because that means inflammation. Though in some cases non-life threatening, if inflammation is in your colon, you want to take extra precaution.
A colonoscopy allows your doctor to detect colon cancer early and treat it. A polyp is an abnormality, and though not all are cancerous, the sooner it can be detected and extracted, the better.
