i gotta have breakfast or i else i get moody. LOL
breakfast: 1 cup of honey nut cheerios with 1cup of fat-free milk or oatmeal and a banana or strawberries. i just gotta have some type of fruit. natural sugar in fruits gives me energy.
snack: glass of fat-free milk and a banana
lunch: piece of chicken along with a salad and fat-free dressing
OR a turkey sandwhich on whole wheat w/ tomatos, lettuce, mustard, no mayo. along with some chocolate pudding. mmm!
snack: peach or apple or banana, and a Yoplait Light Yogurt or i'll have frozen grapes which are great for the summer b/c where i live it gets up to the 100's. today it was 106. saturday it's gonna be 110!!!!
dinner: salad with LOTS of cucumbers and tomatos and serving of fat-free dressing, thousand island is my fave. and some salmon cooked with extra virgin olive oil, with lemon. or some baked chicken . yum! whatever my mom makes, i'll eat. she's really big on what oil she uses so she cooks everything with extra virgin olive oil.
dessert: warm glass of fat-free milk, with a tsp. of vanilla extract and a tsp. of a sugar substitute, just to have something sweet. mmm! or i also like to have just a normal COLD glass of fat-free milk. both are good.
my mom always bought fat-free milk and i grew up on it. i really dont' like the taste of fatty milk, even if it's reduced fat or 1%, it has this taste that i can't stand.
i drink water if i'm thirsty, once in a while i have soda if i'm at a party or something,
today i modified my menu b/c it's Friday and we had something to celebrate too.
breakfast i had the same breakfast as above
lunch: we went to a Greek restaurant, i had a gyro(spelling?) and salad, diet coke, and small portion of fries. and then i had a diamond shaped piece of baklava. really tasty!
that lunch was real filling, and then went to soccer practice around 5pm, had LOTs of cold water because it's soooo HOT right now where i live, and i didn't have any dinner b/c i'm not hungry. the lunch kept me full.
i'm gonna drink a cold glass of milk and go to bed in a few minutes, actually 2 because i missed my other one at lunch. i have 3 a day.
i DO eat junk food sometimes u know, i probably won't survive if i dont' have any, but i'm careful of HOW MUCH of it i eat.

I guess it depends on how you define "healthy".
I THINK I eat healthy.
Breakfast: Coffee
Lunch: Salad with nuts/seeds, cheese or cold cut sandwich
Snack: A fruit, sometimes a couple of cookies
Dinner: Usually pasta with meat or cheese topping OR a bean dish; plus fresh vegetables, cooked vegetables
After dinner: Tea
Twice a week: Red wine
Of course, sometimes I eat more or less "healthy" stuff.
In any event my chloresterol is low (150), and my triglycerides are good.
Still, "healthy" is a matter of opinion. My in-laws are macrobiotic, and they think we eat unhealthily. We do have crackers, which have trans fat in them, though we changed to non-trans fat peanut butter and low-trans fat margarine.
When you're a parent, and you have "family meals", you have to cook food that the kids will actually EAT. This means we do order out once a week: Chinese food, sushi (which is helathy anyway), falafel, pizza. We limit burgers and fries to once a month.
We try...

Most of the time.
A typical daily menu is:
Lunch.
Fresh rice noodles with 2 cups of greens in vege broth
Dinner.
A serving of rice, steam fish or chicken, lots of vege.
No breakfast cos I am never awake at that hour and no snacks in between except for fruits. Dried apricots and fresh fruits.

generally, yes- I have cereal in the morning for breakfast most of the time, and I bring a salad and a fruit salad into work for lunch. Carrot sticks as a snack. Dinner is usually tofu with vegetables or fish with vegetables, with milk.
