I don't remember the exact measurements, but you can check out cook books for that. You have to buy short-grain rice (look for the japanese brand rice in the international section of the supermarket), rice vinegar, salt, sugar and nori (the seaweed wrap). You will also need sushi maki, the rolling mat.

I can tell you for sure not to use raw fish. Unless the water is clean and you are eating it within a reasonable amout of time after you caught it, it's not safe; cook the fish first.

You can use eggs, cucumbers, zucchini, avocados, etc.

It's fun, go crazy.

p.s. Sushi is the vinegared rice, not the raw fish. Raw fish is called sashimi.

mainly sticky rice, seaweedpaper and raw fish
but it takes a sushi-chef more than 6 years to become a chef so don't get frustrate if it doesn't work from starters

cook some white rice and some cucumbers or other veggies you like... roll the cooled rice is sea-weed wrap along with a small piece of the fish of choice and the veggie ( sold at the health food store) eat

I've never tried it, but I think it would be fun. I know you need one of the bamboo rolling things. Check your local kitchen store or Asian grocer. They probably have all the gadgets you'd need, and probably a good book on the subject. Just buy REALLY fresh fish!
