No, mother nature is mother nature. Storms have always been a part of the climate. Earthquakes because the Teutonic plates shift. Tornado's by severe storms. Why would you assume that God would be out to get us? He created everything( if that is your belief) so it follows that He created the weather too.

No. The Bible identifies God as the creator of all things, but this does not mean that he causes every wind or rain shower. Rather, he has created the natural laws that govern the earth. Because of many factors, natural disasters are getting worse, but most of those factors are manmade - consider the effects of pollution and overuse of natural resources.

We know, too, that if such disasters were caused by God he would not promise to do away with them as he does at
Isaiah 35:1, 6, 7 “The wilderness and the waterless region will exult, and the desert plain will be joyful and blossom as the saffron. . . . For in the wilderness waters will have burst out, and torrents in the desert plain. And the heat-parched ground will have become as a reedy pool, and the thirsty ground as springs of water.”

Questions like this are so aggravating. I swear some of you religious nuts can't wait for the world to end so you do nothing to help the planet survive. We are killing the earth with pollution. It has changed the climate, the polar caps, the air we breathe and the weather systems. See the movie An Inconvenient Truth for proof and information.

Genesis 8:21

And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.
