I drive the speed limit. But, I do not drive in the fast lane on the interstates. However, I will drive in the fast lane on the highways doing the speed limit. On some occasions, the driver behind me tailgates, and won't go around me. But, for the last few weeks, I discovered a trick on how to shake them. I drive in a van, and if you are driving behind me, you can see me quite easily. So, what I started doing is scratching my neck. It tells the tailgater behind me that I am unaware of them, that I am not intimidated nor am I paying them any attention (but I really am). In every single instance, the driver has gone around me. I used to have a problem at night where the tailgater would use their brights on me (I drove a car at that time). I quickly discovered that if I turn on my interior lights, their brights don't affect me. It is against the law to drive with your interior lights on (in Louisiana). But, when you are being assaulted by a tailgater who is trying to blind you, appropriate defensive action can be taken. For example, if you are at a red light, and some one comes up to your car with the possible intent to harm you, you can run the red light if it is clear. I've done this only once. I did stray from the question a bit, but it has already been answered. I hope no one hates me for being a law abiding driver, but if you do, I am sorry!

No i never do. Well i mean if im not in any hurry i will drive around 60-65mph, but if i am in a hurry i wont hesitate to drive 75-85mph. Yes i have gone over 100mph. Oh and m commute well one of my jobs is only a 4 mile drive(i live about 3 mile out of town) so thats not a big deal, but my other is a little under 20 miles long, but is all straight country road, not to mention there are about 50 ways to get ther on back roads. So then you can go as fast as you want; cops never ever go down that road. It really is a easy commute. Oh i live in a town of about 14,000 ppl in Minnesota, and commute to a place just outside of a town of 600ppl. I really dont mind driving in Minneapolis/St.Paul because i do on a regular bassis. I am almost always in the fast lane and holy crap ppl who go the speed limit make me want to punch someone. You can always tell what people are city drivers. The ones saying "55 stay alive!!" are going to get ther a$$ run over some day.

I drive about 5-10 mph over the speed limit, but I try to do only the speed limit during the morning and evening traffic cuz the CHP is really good about popping people for speeding. Do people who do the speed limit in the fast lane p*ss me off? not really, I just go around them, it's when they're going under the speed limit (like 55 instead of 65 when it's one semi truck trying to pass a slower semi-truck) then I get annoyed... And btw, I live in Sacramento.

I dirve about 5 over all the time. It is just because that is the way the traffic flows here. Twin Cities, MN (St. Paul, Minneapolis)
I do hate people going slow in the fast lane. I hate people going 40 mph faster then people going 10 over the limit. I usually enjoy a game of box em up then. I search for a way to box them in and have some fun.
Road rage isn't a problem for me but I can certainly handle someone who has the problem.
What makes driving on the highway worse is stupid people. The get on the on ramp at 20 mph and don't speed up to flow w/ traffic. Then some jerk off won't change lanes to let him in. Then another idiot does the same thing but the guy on the highway moves over and slows down. Then everyone behind him slows. The cycle begins and we have traffic jams for no reaosn.

I rarely go the speed limit. I will admit that I am a terrible driver when it comes to that. I get so frustrated when people go the speed limit, even on side roads. I am not a reckless driver, so I won't pass illegally or anything and I certainly don't yell or threaten other drivers, but I do get so irritated. I'm in the Akron, OH area and I drive to Cleveland for work. It is about an hour in the car each way. I hate it!!

That speed limit is a Maximum speed, not a minimum. The limit applies whether you are in the PASSING lane (not fast lane) or the travel lane. I go the speed limit because I am unwilling to pay the consequences of breaking the law (speeding ticket, higher insurance rate, faulted in an accident due to speed). It is speeders with no regard for the law that p*ss me off. Don't get mad at others because they have the sense to obey the laws and you don't. And I refuse to reveal what city I am in.

Usually I do, mainly because it's difficult to get over the speed limit on the morning commute, not to mention pretty dangerous in that heavy of traffic. The biggest problem in the morning is tailgating, because there are so many stops in odd places that no one can anticipate.
