Robert, this question is concerning my brother. Please tell me, or anyone who knows about prosecution for adultry? I have heard of it before, but apparently the rules are different in the military?

no its not illegal...soldiers do it all the time especially when theyre about to deploy

No...but the cost of the divorce and alimony will far out way the finacial gain and should you start having a relationship with someone else while in the service....you will be prosecuted for adultery! Find the girl you want to marry...don't marry for increased military pay. Also...it will raise housing issues!

You can't truly be a serviceman without a messed up marriage.

I don't think that it is illegal, maybe immoral, but not illegal. You can marry whoever you want.
