I'm a muslimah. So anyway, I'm thinking of placing some pictures or painting in my bedroom. I know a muslim can't put living creature picture in his house. So, what about cartoon or anime characters' pictures? Is it restricted too?
If you just wanna bash Islam or if you don't have any idea about this, please don't answer. Basher will be reported. Only good answer please?

Thanks for suggestions everyone but there's also something I want to clear up.
I know river, lake, forest or anything like that is allowed. Only living creatures like dog or human are not allowed.
But, there's something that I'm really not sure. The real life creature pictures.. like human and animal, is it not allowed to display only when it is displayed as a whole? Or is it also not allowed even in pieces(like head part only)?

Cartoon and anime can depict "living creature" so I would put pictures of scenery , your favorite object or an abstract painting or picture

If you dont mind find a nature painting such as a tropical garden,waterfalls,beach or ocean,it will relaxes your mind and body,they are so cool,you find your place very natural and breezy!But if you have favorite anime or cartoon characters,set to it that it is not reflecting violence or cruelty,cinderella or dragonball z can do,i am not a muslim but i have some muslim friends and neighbors but they are not sensitive about the pictures or paintings they hang as long as it doesnt enterprete things against the law of your religion!

Why don't you put a picture that you like and want instead of letting religion dictate your choices.
I am sure your faith wil not falter by a simple picture.

are you allowed to put streams and lakes? woods? trees and stuff. nature is beautiful. I do not know about your beliefs but I am trying to help. how about fruit or vegetable pictures? flowers? cartoons might be good too. good luck to you and may god watch over you.

In my opinion, you should put anything you want, as long it is in good taste. It is not like your going to worship the painting.
Common sense goes a long way. As long as it is not offensive to others.
