I have a puppy/dog who is about 1 1/2 yrs old (papillon) and it is like impossible to train him to be housebroken and I have white carpet (not bright white, but white enough) and my dog keeps peeing on the carpet even if I let him out, he'll come inside and go on the carpet. His urine is like bright yellow and I am having the worst time getting the stains out of the carpet. I got the smell out, I just can't get out the yellow stain. Can someone plz help

Very comon. That breed I think is a very nice breed but needs a lot of training. Whatever you do, DO NOT use bleach or ANYTHING with bleach in it. To a dog bleach smells like urine. I would either get him a doggie pee bed (you can get them at PetCo or PetsMart) and the always goes there in this bed and you just take the liner out and there ya go! Otherwise when get him puppy diapers. He still a puppy- I dont really know alot about that breed so I cant give you alot of info besides what I have already given you. I would check more with a local trainer. Also, take a sample to the vet and see if anything is wrong. This MIGHT work or it MIGHT NOT. They can check for different diseases and stuff like that. I friend of mine had to do that and they found that something in his urinary tract when ca-put. Hope this helps! Also, check out some books at the library!

Use an enzyme cleaner on the urine. Natures Miracle works well. It gets rid of the stain/smell if you follow the directions. You can get it at a pet food store. Any dog can be house trained. You just have to find the method that works and be diligent. They do not train themselves. Punishment for indoor toileting just confuses them. It's all about positive reinforcement when the dog does the right thing. The following directions are for a younger dog but would still work. Just adjust the I hour rule, don't expect the dog to wait for 18 hours. for the first thing to remember about house training a puppy is there ability to hold themselves is limited. a rule of thumb is they can hold "it" usually 1 hour for each month of age. 2 months old = 2 hours, 3 months old = 3 hours, etc. when your puppy wakes up (morning, nap, whatever) the pup has to go, right then! take the pup out. when the pup eats or drinks, it has to go, take the pup out. after exercise (play), take the pup out. when the pup does it's thing outside praise it. a lot. tell the pup how good, how smart it is. you have to pay attention to the pups "looking for it's spot" behavior. when you see that behavior indoors, whisk the pup out. if you catch the pup in the act, simply tell it "NO!" and whisk it outside. if you find a puddle or pile after the fact, clean it up with an enzyme cleaner (pet food store) get a newspaper and hit.... yourself in the head and say "i should have been paying more attention" daytime training they get pretty fast. night time training is easier if you crate train the pup. also remember the one hour/one month rule. you will have to get up through the night to take the pup out. good luck

Hmm odd, I heard papillons are easy to housetrain (I have a pom, she took 2 days) but anyways I used these puppy pads that my dog can go in the house. It supposedly attracts dogs to the peeing pad w/ a special smell and thats why they pee on the pad. You can probably find it at Walmart or another pet store. The oxiclean stuff works well for the stain, hope that helps!

This is the best and cheapest way to get the stain out. Mix hot water with some laundry deterg.( Purex works the best.) Pour it on the stain. Gently rub in small circles only on the stain, then put a clean dry towel on it with something heavy on that n let it sit for bout 1 hr. take it off n let air dry. Then viola its gone n smells good too! Good luck!
