You might find your friend here. There is a search you can do.

If he/she is still awaiting trial, he/she might not be listed. Try calling and they can direct you how to find your friend.

I suggest searching the websites of the county clerk, the sheriff's office or the city police department to find the address of their jails. Some even have a searchable inmate database.

Go to the jail and ask. They will tell you.

You may be able do this by phone. Look in the white pages for the jail's number. Besides tha physical address, you will need their number.

I was in this same situation once, and I dialed 1411 for information and asked the operator to assist me. I asked for the Sheriff's dept. phone number for EACH county that surrounded the area. Call your LOCAL sheriff's office first, then call information. When I got the phone numbers, I just called them one by one, asking if my friend was locked up there, and if they could give me the address. I then WROTE to my friend and asked them about whatever I needed to know.

You may find the information you need here http://www.caseassist.com/Links/CriminalJustice1.htm
Until your friend has been sentenced, you may not find any information on his/her whereabouts.

Good Luck!
