Jesus's crucifixition is a good thing, for he died for the remission of sin.

To me this makes no intellectual sense, but I put a faith in it.

So you just can't find anything good for yourself? I don't understand what you mean when you say you put faith in it? Why do you put faith in Jesus's Crucifixion being a good thing? lol. I probably should just go back to bed. I am just not getting a lot of things so far today. I'm lost. Will you guide me? Show me the light Brother Jim! Save me from the darkness of my soul!!!!

The good things we can get from the Bible are located between Genisis 1:1 and the last word in Revolation. It's all the divinly inspired word oof God. Do you feel qualified to pick and choose?

The Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7) is one of the most beautiful pieces of literature I have ever read, and as literature I'd recommend it to anyone regardless of what they believe. It's a pity that few Christians have ever bothered to listen to its message.

Darwinisme is about: The stongest wins.
The bible (at least thats how I read it) is about we all win.

Actually I can not afford to start the discussion here but. Jesus preached. Listen to what he said.

It was someone that never met Jesus that travelled to Rome, started a church that intruduced the concept of Jesus being killed for our sins........

For a number of things. One of them is that Justification is by faith and another is that salvation makes us a saint and another is that upon salvation we receive the Holy Spirit which enables us to live free from sin.

The word. The Bible is meat. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.

"Commit all thy ways unto the Lord; trust also in him and he shall bring it to pass" Psalm 37:5

It is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose. Phil 2:13

Hello jim_darwin.. :)

The Lord offers us Love, forgiveness, kindness, gentleness and humility..a longing to help others, forsaking our own needs..but to look at the needs of others...that is brotherly Love..

If the World followed and walked as Jesus walked, talked as Jesus talked..we would have Heaven right now here on earth.. :)

For Jesus said we are to Love our neighbors as ourselves.. :)

In Jesus Most Precious Name..
With Love..In Christ..

No he died simply because a bunch of greedy unintelligent want to control everything Romans wanted to shut him up fearing his words. Why would we need a book to tell us to be good. That should come natural to people anyway. If they are bad reading a bible isn't going to change them.
