Most are treated with cortisone, effectively for a while, but "Keloids" usually return. The old way to treat them was external bean, restrive radiation, called orthovoltage. I'm not sure that is still used, but I would ask a dermatologist. I had a friend who kept having a keloid return on his ear lobe. He had surgery, then cortisone, and then superficial radiation treatment and it was many, many years before it returned. Unfortunately, you will probably always have keloid scars, but see a reputable dermatologist or a plastic surgeon. I know this is advice you've obvioulsy tried, but it's the best I can do. Good luck.

I used tea tree oil...every single day, several times a day, for months and mine went away (had them from ear piercing). It's natural and you can buy it cheap at walmart in the vitamin section. It smells like dirt and slightly minty, but works like a charm...even on old scars. If they are porous, it can actually make them ooze a little, but I imagine that is just fluid that was there anyway and the oil is forcing it out. After that, it dries up and flakes off.
Either way, it shouldn't hurt you. It is totally natural and you don't have to put it under the skin, just topically. And I have never heard of anyone being allergic to it. Make sure you use pure tea tree oil and not tea tree added to something else like a cream or lotion. The pure oil is what works best.

The antibiotics you took for your tooth extraction may have caused a yeast infection. Most doctors will advise you to increase your acidophilus intake when on antibiotics, usually by eating yogurt. If it's a UTI cranberry will help. Both acidophilus and cranberry can be purchased in pill form over the counter at the pharmacy or health food store. Drinking lots of water and cranberry juice can be difficult. Try taking the pills with lots of water and you should be fine in a few days.
