Edgar Cayce (1877-1945) was a devout Christian born in Kentucky who was also an avid Reincarnationist. Although I'm not a Christian, I've given copies of "Many Mansions" (a Cayce bio) to several Christian friends, who almost without exception were changed by the realization that a person can believe in both Christianity and reincarnation. For a couple of them, the book was a major turning point in their lives, opening their minds and hearts to a more benevolent, wiser and just 'God'.

If you're a Reincarnationist acquainted with the ideas of Edgar Cayce, what's your opinion of him? What about his teachings do you agree/disagree with?

I enjoyed reading his stuff years ago when I was questioning Christianity and decided that the concept made a lot of sense -- we're rewarded for our good deeds in the next life and are condemned to suffer the same results in our next life that we caused others to suffer in this life.
That remained my philosophy of life until I recently found Judaism which is even more logical, doesn't involve mysticism, and doesn't require "belief" in any miracles.

Although I haven't read him myself, my mother was an avid reader of Cayce. I felt compelled to reply to your question only to say that most likely I'd agree with his teachings simply because I believe that God is the Creator and does not judge us for what we believe. I have recollections of past lives as well which has greatly influenced the way I believe. As a result I have no fear of Hell (or Heaven >grins<) and feel that these concepts are the creation of Man and not of God. Sorry if I didn't answer exactly what you were asking! :">

i stumble upon him pleasing. What he did became selfless and in no income for himself. i have already taken a stand on the following about 'feeling yet another's discomfort' and that is what he did. He ought to diagnose human beings's diseases and provides you them a reported remedy that contained in the follow-up became frequently maximum recommendations-blowing. inspite of if some remedies were brought about through 'recommendations over remember', what's the version, he in no way harmed absolutely everyone. How large at the same time as any human beings will be said in existence as reaping benefits mankind!

Yes, Cayce! Fascinating. I always have to qualify: RE-incarnation does not exist, as there is no time. However, there is the multitudinous existence of spirit; we have more than one life in physical terms, but they are lived simultaneously.

As part of my spiritual journey, I have read many books, looked into many teachings..."Many Mansions" I recall having read. Cayce did fascinate me. He tapped into the universal knowledge that we all share, but are so strongly focused in physicality, we cannot for the most part, tune into it...Cayce could.

I am well acquainted w/the writings and (channelling-sessions) of Edgar Cayce...I believe, he believed he was 'receiving-messages' from "beyond"... personally...I think he was using, obviously, self-hynosis...placing himself into a 'trance-like' state and either his subconscious was giving messages...or perhaps was ???? tapping into the 'ultra-conscious' that could travel beyond this dimention of time-space-continuim.

He was a great medium. Anyone who 'channels' though is totally influenced by their religious teachings when they were children. Read his with a grain of salt but he's right on the money on reincarnation.
