i am scared of people, friends, strangers, customers etc, i feel very scared when i enter stores, houses etc as if i am walking into a trap and someone will lock the doors or gates and my enemies will get me, i find it difficult to go out alone now, i find an escuse to take someone with me. I now suspect everyone around me except my immediate family members, also i often have difficulty breathing and i start panting with my heart racing, i usually have these symptoms when i suspect i am walking into a trap...what can be wrong with me, i don't hang out with friends anymore cos i suspect they all want to harm me, i don't buy things from stores close to me cos i suspect they might be paid to poison me, i have this belief that one big organisation is trying to capture or kill me and it has made my life living hell, if someone stares at me on the streets i start suspecting, most times while driving i stop to allow cars pass by cos i suspect they are following me...what is wrong with me?

Sounds like you've already recieved some very good advice. One thing I've not seen is prayer. In addition to medicine and psychological help, try prayer. I suffer from mental illness as well as substance abuse. Thanks to God, family, friends, & doctors, I'm much better and also clean and sober.
Let me tell you why I think you need to pray hard and often. Contrary to popular belief, demons are real, Satan is real. They get into our innermost self and prevent us from being "normal", productive human beings, and preventing us from doing God's will for our lives. Spiritual warfare is real, and I certainly am no expert in the field, but I'm learning. When you feel paranoid or frightened ask God to help you. Just talk to him silently or out loud, just like you would a family member. He knows the pain you are feeling, for according to the Bible, He feels it with you. Ask for his help and guidance and literally say, "Satan, get thee behind me in Jesus Christ's name". He has to leave you alone for by the cross, Satan was defeated, by Jesus. He was defeated but he didn't curl up and go away, leaving us alone. He prowls day and night finding ways to attack us. He knows our weakest points and thats where and how he attacks. You can be free of the bondage you are feeling. Even if you don't believe in God or Satan, or demons....PLEASE TRY PRAYER AT LEAST ONCE. What do you have to loose if it don't work, things are already getting worse you said. I highly suggest seeing a doctor and getting on some medications, but don't discount the ability of God.
I'm just learning about spiritual bondage and I believe it's real. My greatest issue is suicidal thoughts. I thought it was a chemical thing or a spiritual thing. Now I see that it's both. My husband has a book he gave me to read called Bondage Breakers. It's being helpful to me, although I'm only in the early chapters. The author it T. Neal Anderson. I suggest reading that also. Best of luck to you and I'll pray for you.

It sounds as though you have a very serious disorder with anxiety. I strongly urge you to research "anxiety.com" for additional information however, a ten year period is a long time to have this on-going problem without some relief. No on should have to live like this. May I also suggest that you contact your local government services office for mental health concerns. Most of these are free for initial examination. I know there is help available. You should seek this immediately so that you can start to live life the way it should be -there are plenty wonderful people in the world who can be friendly, kind and unsuspecting. You have to get well so you can join the reindeer games with the rest of us. Best wishes to you. And let us know how you fare.

You do have a serious problem. You have, among other things, a persecution complex.
You believe that everyone is out to get you.

While I am not a professional here I think there had to be something that triggered this. Were you hurt by someone? Were you forced to do something against you will?

Regardless of what may have triggered it you do need to see a professional about this. It is bad now but it will only get worse.

What you describe can end up harming you. While you know these feelings are not valid it makes no differeance, they are how you feel.

You must get help!

OK first go to a pschiatrist and don't be afraid of them because they are the ones who will help you. You are like really scared of people man, its like you have people phobia. Have you had a scary accident when you were little or do you watch too many scary movies? If you do stop and if it was an accident that you had when you were little then try to get over it by facing your fears. The pschiatrist will also help you and take medication that will calm you down, but don't rely on it too much because then you will be addicted to it and that is not good.

It is called anxiety and you are having anxiety or panic attacks and you need to go see a psychiatrist or a psychologist immediately. It is starting to affect your everyday life and it can be stopped by taking an anti-anxiety medication. There are so many people that have that and there is nothing wrong with it. I have it and it is horrible to feel that way for no reason. I take Prozac everyday and then when I have an attack, Xanax. Go get help!

You really need help and soon. Talk to your family doctor and ask for a referral to a psychiatrist. Some of these thing can be phobias but other sound like paranoid delusions and need to be addressed. These type of symptoms will only get worse and may lead to a long admission into a hospital. Do it now.

First of all I would like to say that I am not a doctor and this is purely my advice as someone who has suffered from severe anxiety. You should definatly seek counseling just so you have someone you can talk to about your symptoms. And second of all know that more then likely you are fine and just having normal life anxiety because its sounds like to me that you may have cut off your friends and your social circle because its was no longer a good situation or but definatly I am sure something is going on in your like. That alone is a big life change whether you realize it or not. I also think that maybe you arent being too productive in your life right now. Such as you stated your not going out and that you are uncomfortable and scared. Which if you are not going out and doing things you enjoy or that make you feel good about yourself chances are you will not feel good. Most of the time these thoughts that you are having are distractions from the changes and stress going on around you and I am sure before this came on that you were not happy with some aspect of your life. You have to remember that you dont just one day wake up and become paranoid or nervous. This happens over time and you probably didnt even notice. You dont just start feeling like this for no reason. I am sure something happened tramatic or otherwise or just a major life change. I recomend that you buy the program attacking aneixty. This works for all kinds of anxiety and nervousness. At this point you are taking a simple negitive thought that you had and that everyone on the planet has probably had and you are taking it to the next level and scaring your self because of the thought. Trust me you are probaly completely normal but you are feeding into the thoughts you are having. And you need to be ignoring or shruging off. These things you are thinking are untrue (unless your like a ganster haha) and unrealistic they may be fears you have but they are never going to happen and I think that you know that. What you are actually scared of is the thought of them. I am sure you are sitting there and thinking "I am going to be captured by this organization" and your next thought that follows that is most likely "OMG what is wrong with me, I am nuts, why did I just think that". Now thats the actually problem...you are feeding the negitive. You are actually telling your self that there was something wrong with you, when there isnt. I know you may feel nuts because of the body feelings. Stop it and know that nothing is going to happen and these thoughts are distractions because you are not doing anything but obsessing. And from what you are saying that you are having problems breathing as well, this is definatly annoying and is probably happening when you are having a negitive thought because you are actually allowing your self to be scared. I definatly think you need to get out in there and start hanging out with some friends or family, stay late at work, cook dinner, join a gym the feelings may be uncomfortalbe but trust me if doesnt last for more then fifteen minutes you need to keep your mind distracted with things that are positive. Keep your self busy basically do something cause if you sit around and wonder what is wrong with your self all day, its first of all scary and second not at all productive and do something to raise your self esteem, when you are thinking like you are thinking you cant feel good about who you are trust me I have been there. But definatly order that program it helped me tremendously. It really does work. You can also do payment plans on it too if you dont have all the money up front. But it explains all of these feelings to your which are just normal but you are taking them to the next level. Hopefully I have helped you a little bit at least or steered you in a direction that can. Cause I know how anxiety feels and its something I wouldnt wish on my worst enemy. Feel better
:-)

How could you possibly take any information given here as anything other than an attempt to lull you into a false sense of security so that you'll finally be captured by those who are out to get you?

You're suffering from paranoia. It could be caused by too many different things to list here completely: mental/emotional trauma, trauma to the brain, chemical imbalance, tumor, stroke, etc.

You need to speak to a professional about it right away. Don't get rooted in your illness. Too many people cling to their illnesses as it makes them feel special or unique. Do whatever you need to do to get rid of yours as soon as possible.

Take it from someone who suffers from paranoid Schizophrenia, it is best to get help earlier sooner than later. I am not suggesting that you have the same illness as me, I am no Psychiatrist but I have in the past had similar thoughts and fears. Talk to your doctor and if need be have someone you trust in there with you, but I highly recomend that you get assitance, life is so much better after you get help.
